The Lakehouse is an outpatient addiction recovery center comprised of staff that is ALL in recovery themselves, so we know what kind of courage and strength it takes to reach out for help. Stuart Birnbaum has been in recovery for 32 years and is founder, CEO and Executive Director of the Lakehouse Recovery Center and Recovery Advocates. Stuart's career was launched as a comedy writer; penning for Lily Tomlin, Chevy Chase, Redd Foxx, Christopher Guest and Tim Conway and is the recipient of the Writers Guild Award and an Emmy nomination.
The Lakehouse Recovery Center difference exists on many levels and is the culmination of many years experience; but at the heart of it all, the drive behind optimizing the client's experience here is founded on a core passion to help change lives and rebuild families. We understand the worlds of active addiction and active recovery from every angle.

Going into Lakehouse Recovery Center I did not know what to expect, however, from the first contact made it was clear this treatment center was different. The entire staff is absolutely amazing and the information I received has helped me grow as a person in more ways than I ever could imagine. Not only is everyone at Lakehouse knowledgeable, kind, and welcoming to their clients, they are open about their own experiences and sincerely care 100% for their clients. I highly recommend Lakehouse Recovery Center to anyone in need of help with their addiction and looking for treatment that works.

Welcome home to the Lakehouse. Such a positive tight knit place. I researched probably a hundred rehabs before my stay and thank God for doing for me what i couldn't do myself. If you wanna see what living your best life sober looks like, get there. Everyone is in recovery themselves. If you want to be treated A+, eat so well, and turn your page on the pain, just give them 1 call for me. The best thing that happened to me in 29 years of life.

The entire staff at at the Lake house were true rocks during my daughters 4 month stay; not only for her, but for our family as well! Last month (September) our daughter received her 1 year chip during one of her nightly meetings. It was an exciting accomplishment, witnessed by not only our family, but staff members from the Lakehouse came to celebrate as well. The fact that the staff remembered her "birthday" (they have a lot of "birthdays" to remember), they also brought her flowers and her own cake, meant so much to our daughter, as well as our family as a whole. The lake House is one of my favorite places to go, they were the first rehab I went to visit and I didn't leave, right when I walk in I just felt the love and all the good vibes it me at once and I knew I was in the right place. Every one of the staff members touched my heart in different ways, they definitely make you feel like your at home and loved. And the way how all the staff are happy makes you want to be sober just like them so you can be happy! I love this place and all the lovely people.

I was a resident at The Lakehouse in 2013 from February to May. It has been almost a year since I have left and I can say with pride and a giant smile that I have not fallen back into my old behaviors. The staff are incredible and caring. The lake itself and the house is top notch and cozy. It always felt like a place I could rest, even when in my own mind I could not. I have not gone back to visit regrettably, but I hope that this review may help some people find the right place to get their lives back, like I did. God Bless the Lakehouse.

The Lakehouse is a wonderful place to go for treatment. The staff is very supportive and do everything possible to create the best environment possible. The house is very peaceful surrounded by Lake Sherwood. Many of my friends have been living happy sober lives after staying here. I would recommend the Lakehouse to anyone seeking treatment.

I have personal friends who have both administered and received care at Lake House. This facility is operated by dedicated, well trained, caring professionals who are fully devoted to the the treatment and recovery of those who seek help for addiction. One of my best friends recently went to The Lake House in Thousand Oaks for treatment for drug addiction. It was there that he was able to begin to turn his entire life around. He had been to other rehabs before, but this place is unique. I cannot thank the director and the staff enough for their love, kindness, and support.

I was a client at the Lake House Recovery Center from February to May and truly enjoyed my time spent there. The staff is incredibly empethietic and engaging when it comes to the recovery process. Every question or grievance I had was adressed quickly and thoroughly by the staff.
