Regularly scheduled programs provide a variety of social, recreational and cognitive activities, both within and outside the facility. Physical, occupational and speech therapies are available on-site, as well as podiatry, barber and beauty services, optometry and audiology services. We strive to help the less fortunate and those in need who cannot live alone. At Bywood East Health Care it is our top priority to serve the residents of Northeast Minneapolis and surrounding communities find the help they need. We are committed to providing quality health care services to persons who are facing mental health issues and need help navigating the course of life.

Bywood East has nurses and nursing assistants available onsite 24/7 under the directions of a Registered Nurse as our Director of Nursing and other management nurses. Our residents find our staff to be very caring and knowledgeable. Our Boarding Care licensure means that we comply with Minnesota and Federal regulations, for which we are regularly surveyed by the Minnesota Department of Health.
People who have mental health challenges are our specialty. Our professional social workers provide services here at Bywood 5 days per week and provide referrals to any needed outside services We have a contract with Associated Clinic of Psychology to provide in-house counseling services one full day a week, and a psychiatrist who is our Medical Director as well as visits residents here on his caseload at least monthly.

My brother has been there for several years. He died last night after we just had a really good long distance zoom. We think he was well cared for. He liked the staff, the activities and the food. I personally appreciate everyone who cared for Brian. I don't know all your names but I do remember the social worker. Richard who was very helpful Thank you to everyone. I appreciate you.
