Alcohol and other drugs cause tremendous pain in the lives of people who become addicted. Family, friends and colleagues also suffer as consequences of substance use disorders increase. If you're reading this, you're likely to be suffering. My goal is to understand your unique circumstances and help with finding a way to a healthier and happier life.
I serve the needs of people affected by alcohol and drug use including their families, friends and colleagues. A focus of my work is helping people who struggle with achieving and maintaining their recovery goals or who have circumstances that make a transition to life in recovery especially complicated or difficult.

Services
I'd like to share some information with you about my training and experience. In addition to over fourteen years in private practice work, I have provided on-call counseling services for Hazelden-Betty Ford Foundation's residential, outpatient and halfway house programs and for Pride Institute's residential and outpatient treatment programs.
Comprehensive Chemical Health Assessments - a thorough assessment is designed to help you understand your risks related to use of addictive substances and provide recommendations and referrals that will help you to address them. As an independent assessor, I am able to provide an objective and thorough evaluation and recommend the resources that will benefit you the most.
There are several compelling reasons that you may wish to have a chemical dependency assessment conducted by an assessor who is not employed by a treatment center or program. Conflicts of interest: No matter how conscientious the professional is, an employee of a treatment center may feel or be compelled to refer you to their programs regardless of whether it is a good fit for you.
You should receive a thorough face to face interview lasting 90-120 minutes. This interview is comprehensive, looking at your use history as well as medical and mental health, and emotional and social factors. It may be preceded by the use of assessment tools such as questionnaires. A fair and accurate appraisal relies on how open and honest you are.
Includes on-line assessment tool (SASSI); personal interview (90-120 minutes); 3rd party collateral phone interviews; written report including recommendations and referrals; follow up to assist in connecting with resources as needed and to discuss recommendations with attorneys, probation officers, trustees, parents and guardians.

Kate will do whatever it takes working with clients. When I am having a bad day, stressed out, or thinking about going back to drinking I am free to text or call her; even on her days off, she will get back to me ASAP. I found her through word of mouth and is very credited throughout the sober community. I am still with her today...
