The steps involved include identifying each source of emissions, identifying chemicals that contribute to emissions, calculating emissions based on material use and balances. Colorado Clean Air Act requires owners or operators of process that can emit air pollution to report to the Colorado Air Pollution Control Division.
The purpose of the report was to examine the regulatory question of whether polyurethane precursors may be treated by the generator by reaction in containers in a 90-day storage facility without a permit. The client retained EIS to assist them with Clean Water Act pre-treatment compliance requirements for waste water is generated which contains low levels of copper and other heavy metals.
EIS supplied a CIH to lead an incident investigation of a near miss on-board a rig located in the Gulf of Mexico. The CIH lead an intensive four day effort to complete and document the the root cause of the incident and the root cause of the exposure.

Sufficient air monitoring sample data was taken to conclude that it is highly unlikely that any personnel will have an exposure to hydrogen sulfide associated with waste water treatment on the platform.EIS conducted necessary baseline industrial hygiene sampling and monitoring and outlined required program documentation needs for Alaska Occupation Safety and Health Department (AKOSH) compliance.
