The recorded history of Jaxon Keys dates back to the original Mexican land grant given to Fernando Feliz in1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena. The 17,754 acres granted to Feliz was known as Rancho Sanel. In 1831, Feliz was a Regidor or town councilman at the Pueblo of San Jose. This government appointment led to Feliz becoming the grantee of Rancho Novato in 1839.
Visit our lovingly restored Farmhouse Tasting Room, built in 1880 and situated at the top of a hill in the middle of our 1250 acre ranch in Hopland. Be treated to old-fashioned hospitality Jaxon Keys style. We have many interesting varietals to sample while enjoying the view and learning about the history of our ranch and the local area.
We are open from daily from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm for tastings by appointment and curbside pickup. Tasting reservations are available every half hour from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, and are limited to 90 minutes per county guidelines. Please, no outside food or drinks. We are kid and dog friendly! Enjoy the view from our shaded veranda as we guide you through a flight of five (5) wines, plus a taste of our award-winning Jaxon Keys Rare Brandy.
We produce three individual, single vineyard estate spirits. They range in age from 5 to 25 year aged in barrel. They have won numerous awards while up against the finest Brandy and Cognac in the world. The highly respected American Distilling Institute's Annual Judging of Artisan American Spirits has awarded our brandy the gold medal every year since 2009.
At Jaxon Keys Estate vineyards, we start with the right vines on the right site. Then we mix in equal parts passion to produce wines that express the unique character of each vineyard, and a commitment to sustainable farming practices.
Our 50-year-old dry-farmed French Colombard vineyard, the exclusive source of our world-class Alambic brandy, and our Russian River frontage Sauvignon Blanc vineyards are situated on fertile, alluvial soils perfect for producing quality white wine grapes.

Great experience tasting through the many wines at Jaxon Keys. We liked all of their wines but the Sauv Blanc and Primitivo stood out... We sat inside where it was cooler but the outside tables have a nice panoramic view of the valley and hills. Brook, our tasting guide, did a great job at talking us through the wines and vineyards.

Loved the entire experience (server, wine & everything) up until a woman who works there (not our server) told us our one year old had to be kept in our lap due to Covid. First of all, there was NO ONE in close proximity to us, she was not in an aisle or any place people were
walking through, she was directly next to our table that was OUTDOORS and not near other people. She said it was because of COVID spread. Well here I am at my table with my MIL (who is coincidentally a doctor) having to keep a screaming baby in my lap. She was perfectly happy beforehand. COVID does not spread via fomites

This winery has a large tasting room on the main floor of an old restored farmhouse. Sarah was busy with other visitors but took the time to welcome us and get us started. We ended up buying case of the Farmhouse Red which is a blend. Here both reds and whites were finely crafted. We joined the wine club. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of wine you get. They sell olive oil and reserve brandy as well.

We visited this winery and was busy. The attendant was so gracious. She made sure our wine tasting was a pleasant one. She showed us the house/tasting room and made sure our visit was a memorable one. White wines are not my thing. They had Farmhouse Red on sale but I didn't taste anything that made me buy it. I also tasted their Merlot (can't remember the vintage) but this wine tasted flat to me. Over all, I enjoyed my wine tasting experience. I bought the champagne. This was my favorite. I checked Jaxon's website and it states website is under construction and it doesn't list any of the wines

Went back to Jaxon Keys today in Mendocino County near Hopland. Jessie took excellent care of us!! She encouraged us to sit outside because the weather was perfect and the views of the vineyards are beautiful!! We love all of the Wilson wineries and this is no exception!! We’ll be back whenever we can.

We stopped for a wine tasting on our way to San Francisco, and it was excellent! We sat on a delightful patio and watched the world go past, and the wines our host chose for us were excellent. She offered us a ton of helpful advice about San Francisco while we were there, and generally made us feel at home.
