Maple Creek Winery and Ranch was founded by Tom Rodrigues, Artist and Renaissance man, in 2001. A leisurely motorcycle ride through the country, getting away from the hustle and bustle of the Bay area, brought Tom to the doorstep of Maple Creek ranch, so known by the creek which meanders through the property.
He was immediately drawn in by the beauty of the rolling hills in the Yorkville Highlands of the Anderson Valley, with its lush vineyards, and perfect Mediterranean climate. With his background, "Artevino" wine was born, the perfect marriage between his two passions: wine and art.

Services
This wine exudes flavors of berry and cherry with hints of oak to create this hearty Cabernet. The grapes are grown on the picturesque Largo Ridge Vineyard in Mendocino County. This fruit forward wine pairs nicely with steak or pasta. Hints of leather and the forest floor on the aroma, added with flavors of ripe cherry and chocolate create this delicious vintage of our estate merlot.
Bring the Artevino wines by Maple Creek Winery to your home. Enjoy exclusive benefits such as access to limited production wines, preferred pricing, a direct line to our membership concierge, complimentary wine tastings, and member-only events. Mushroom picking is one of our favorite winter activities at the Maple Creek Ranch. We have hundreds of different types of mushroom varieties that grow naturally on our 160-acre ranch. On a recent mushroom hunt, we found dozens of Chanterelles growing under a live oak. Dear Friends.we are excited to introduce our new recipe blog.

This is a place not to me missed if you are any where in the area ; had the very good pleasure to pay a visit this past Monday for a tasting , wines are some of the best i have ever had the pleasure to taste ,Tom the owner/winemaker has a personal method of making wine that for me works like a charm ..the proof is in the glass ..great wine and a great person to spend a little time with in a very beautiful pastoral setting ..these are wines that are not made in a hurry they are given all the time that is needed to give the wonderful fruit time to show their promise ..this one is a keeper for me

Great little winery! If you are in to wine especially you will love this but even if you don’t it’s a great place to learn about wine, taste them and most importantly share great company. The owner, Thomas, is friendly and inviting. If you find yourself in the area you should pay this place a visit for sure, you will not be disappointed.

Delicious wines and a friendly staff! We loved the pino noir and port and they shipped them home to us for free! Definitely worth the stop. We even got to tast the freshly harvested grapes - what a treat! Beware the long curved road up to the tasting room, but it is comfortable and has a nice clean bathroom.

Not sure why the great reviews. Kind of a cool, windy drive up to the funky tasting room. And the server Houston was nice, but found overpriced, limited-selection, mediocre-at-best wines.
Chardonnay's? Definitely not $40 chards.
Cowboy Red seems like is trying to blend away problems from using average grapes.
Pinots - much better can be had for the same or less $ up the road in Boonville/Philo.
I've been to many, many wineries and this was one of the most disappointing.

We had a wonderful time tasting and meeting the owner and winemaker, Tom. The Pinots and their Zin are out of this world and he shared a cheese that paired with his wines perfectly. The road up to this winery is beautiful road and worth the visit. It was a treat to be there on a weekday with no on around but us. Ask him about how he gardens. We will be back for sure.

We stayed down the road are an exclusive ranch/vineyard and the owners suggested driving over to Maple Creek. First, we were dazzled by the owner, Tom who is a painter, stained glass artist, writer, baseball whiz, winemaker. His walls are covered with ribbons and awards for his wine. Great guy.
Long story short, we drank the cool wine and walked out with a case of mixed reds... Loved the Cabs and the Merlots.
We will return.

Get ready for bold, smooth, delicious Anderson Valley wines. Our favorite was the 2012 Weir Pinot, but try them all. After being welcomed by Tom and his dogs, we tasted not only his wines and ham from a wild boar, but washed it all down with fresh spring water from his property. Tom couldn't be nicer. He walked us through every tasting and really listened to our reaction. We could have stayed all day chatting and buying wine, but alas, there was more to explore in the area. It's so special to meet the winemaker (especially one as unpretentious as Tom) and I guarantee you'll leave

This past Saturday I had won passes to the 4th Annual Anderson Valley Barrel tasting in Mendocino County. I had never been to any winery past Cloverdale before so it was new to me as were the wineries I visited. I winded my way down windy Highway 128, (drive your manual sports car as you will actually run thru your gears in a good way) Maple Creek-Artevino was my 2nd stop, and I almost skipped it for being off the road a tad, but so glad I did not! First I was greeted by Buster the Australian sheep dog, who adorably herded me into the tasting room (his sister Posey was tuckered out behind) the

After driving for hours along the coast, this was a perfect little slice of heaven. As we drove up the driveway, the grapes were beautiful and welcoming... Makes your mouth water for what is awaiting you. When we walked into the tasting room, we were greeted by the sign which read "Enter As Strangers, Leave As Friends." I noticed the art displayed on the walls and the various artwork on each wine bottle, were beautiful and vibrant! I soon learned that the humorous, witty wine maker and the inspirational artist was one in the same. Tom Rodriguez is someone who can entertain with ease

Greatest winery ever. Stop in here for hand crafted wines and meet the owner. Gret experience and great wines / I have drunk better and worse - but - these are the best wines for the $!
Tom is the owner/ winemaker. He is quite talented / accomplished artist and treats his wines like art. Take a few minutes and stop at the tasting room. You will be happy you did.

Buster and Posey will welcome you in the parking lot, if they are around. Tom Rodrigues has a great winery. He bottles under the Artevino label. We tasted his rather extensive line up of wines. We re-sampled a few of them.
If you want to get Tom ramped up, ask him about his association with Pink Floyd. His story is good.
We bought the Cowboy Red. Good value for an everyday red. We splurged on 2010 Zinfandel and 2007 Late Harvest Zinfandel. Rich flavor and rich price.
Strongly recommend. Tom makes it a great visit and his connections in the wine local wine industry can be helpful,

Where do I begin to describe the layers of awesomeness that surround the gigantic heart and soul of the people that make these incredible award winning array if wines.
If that sounds too stuffy; don't f$@;" miss this winery. Your life will change. The care that goes into these wines is borderline obsessive, as the best passionately creative people can sometimes be! You couldn't meet a more solid crew of people to hang with while you sample wine that'll make you forget about Napa Valley on your next trip to Northern California. Make time to visit Maple creek winery, you will

Great wines. The winemaker is very friendly, & Portuguese!! He's also an artist. You can see his work not only in the tasting room but on many well known labels. The drive up to the winery from the road is well worth it. I think the complaint about the potholes is ridiculous. Paving a private road costs a fortune & I've been to high end wineries with a longer drive up a dirt toad the whole way!!

Artevino/Maple Creek Winery is amazing. The wines are very unique. I particularly like the Symphony White even though I normally like reds.
I also love the atmosphere. This is a small winery hidden up on the hill. It was a very personal experience. We got to taste several different wines. They were also very dog friendly. There were several dogs there and they were happy to let mine play with theirs. They also had water bowls for dogs, and treats so if you want to bring you furry friend along this is the place.
The bottles are very artfully decorated, and the wine inside is very good

Wine tasting!! Got to love it in any season... and for me spring vies with autumn as my favorite time. It's so green, fresh, wildflowers, the vines starting to leaf out -- Anderson valley was so beautiful. Even after wine tasting for 2-3 hours, I still didn't fall asleep on the way home on the windy 253!! It was just too pretty!
Anyway, driving up to Maple Creek on their private road, into a tree shaded parking lot, I was so pleased to see the weathered grey wood building, the arbor & garden, garden chairs out. It was so inviting & beautiful. We took lots of photos of each

Out in the wilds of Mendocino county. You'll see the large clear sign at the entrance on Hwy 128. The private driveway to the tasting room must be at least a mile long. Upon your eventual arrival you land in a very pretty location under the oak & bay leaf trees. The tasting room is small and cute.
Paintings on the wall are by the owner. Wine in the bottles also made by the owner. IMHO the prices are high for what you get,. though I do like the wines here. Red wines are unfiltered, so watch for sediment. As said by Nicole M. before me, the Reserve Chardonnay is very good. (
