What is hypnosis? Hypnosis is a state of mind that allows us to be more receptive to change - for example, to change habits, attitudes, or other behavior. The consciously aware part of your mind can only juggle a limited amount of information at once. The rest of that incoming information is handled outside of your awareness, by the part of your mind that runs things on autopilot.
This is a message for every professional who desperately needs a change of pace and scenery, but can't spare the time or money it takes to go on that dream vacation. Even before recent events made it harder to travel, did you ever postpone taking time off because you were afraid things at the office would slip through the cracks or a client who needs extra hand-holding would feel slighted?
I'll collect information to customize your session. We'll identify the path you want to take, away from today's stress and toward a new experience of freedom from stress. I'll measure your natural hypnotic abilities and give you techniques to make them even stronger. You'll receive a high-quality audio recording that you can download and replay anytime you want.
You will be best served through multiple sessions if you want to change a single habit or jump-start a change stop smoking, stress management, food choices, memory improvement. You may want basic instruction in self-hypnosis, or you may want advanced tools and techniques. Some clients need deeper homework, depending on their aspirations.
For example, one client came in for weight loss, and the following week, she said, I'm not afraid of driving over bridges anymore. Did you put something like that in my weight loss session? The answer was, "No." Sometimes, a seemingly unrelated issue will spontaneously resolve. My services are not health care, counseling, or psychotherapy, but always complementary to those practices.
