Well known and loved as Deux Amis Wines, Phyllis Zouzounis brings her talent and palate to ZOUZOUNIS WINES. Follow along and participate as Phyllis brings her vision to life. Zouzounis Wines produces Sangiovese, Petite Sirah and a Port, but we are best known for making Zinfandels from various Dry Creek Valley vineyards. Each wine exhibits the distinctive characteristics of the microclimate and soils where the grapes are grown. We knew that Dry Creek Valley was the best location to look for Zinfandel grapes.
Deux Amis is French for two friends. Two friends started DA but we have many friends who enjoy our wines. For all our loyal friends who tell us they cannot find our wines in their neck of the woods or for those who would like to have our limited release Zinfandels and Petite Sirah on hand, we started a wine club, Amis du Vin (a-me-do-van) or "Friends of Wine".
When the dream of Deux Amis began there was no doubt that the grapes for their production would be sourced from the most beautiful and productive areas of Sonoma County. Through the knowledge and friendship with our growers, together we produce the best grapes possible, which begins the process of making great wine.

Phyllis Zouzounis is a legend among winemakers, deservedly so. Her immense skill was evident when we tasted her zins, her petite sirahs, and Rafina, a port style wine from Portuguese grapes. Wow! She teases out the distinctive character of each vineyard's grapes. Each zin is different, and special. She personally guided us through this tasting, and shared many personal stories about winemaking. Thanks, Phyllis! We'll definitely be back!
