At Blue Heron Health my focus is helping you feel better as quickly as possible. My tools are practical, using acupuncture, tui na (Chinese osteopathic massage), Craniosacral therapy (Western osteopathy), and herbs. I listen to what's going on for you, and to the response of your body to treatment.
In this way I speak directly to your body and what needs to be done and help you quickly see results. My view is expansive. Chinese medicine is rooted in the science of observation. Observation of the seasons, the physiology of the body, the way things happen. Observation of the sensations of the body and how those feelings change with the seasons, how they change with various states of mind.

I have noticed lately that people are a lot like onions. To get to some of the good stuff sometimes there can be tears. But if you cut through the outer layer, there can be so much sweetness, and a lot of flavor can be added to your life. With onions, you can caramelize them, marinate with them, use them raw, and they mix easily with a lot of other vegetables.
One way we look at the body in Chinese Medicine is to consider dividing everything into two constituents - qi and blood. Basically, blood is the. In Chinese medicine we refer to Liver Blood when we talk about the capacity of the blood to nourish muscles, organs and the brain. That uncomfortable sensation that food you have eaten is just not moving we call Food Stagnation in Chinese Medicine.

It's hard to put into words the feelings, the amazing and current up-to-date techniques that Jan uses in her practice. From a vast knowledge of Chinese herbs and remedies, to the most up-to-date, as well as tried and true methods that accompany her acupuncture as well. Jan's level of care goes far beyond the one hour spent with her. She takes copious notes so that she can remember what does and does not work, dealing with acute unbearable pain, to chronic pain. I have been so much better since going to Jan. She also is very giving of her love, her friendship and always gives 100 percent unconditional
