Services
Dr. Howington is a second generation Dermatologist. She was raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University. After completing a medical degree at Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, Louisiana, she stayed there to perform a residency in dermatology.

A treatment with BOTOX Cosmetic is a simple, non-surgical procedure that smooths the deep, persistent frown lines between your brows that develop over time. Chemical peels are a method of skin resurfacing. By inducing a controlled wound, peeling agents can remove the superficial layer of the skin and stimulate collagen remodeling. This helps to improve dark spots, fine lines and wrinkles, texture, and skin impurities. This is an epidermal peel that targets hyperpigmentation.

I used to go to another Dermatologist (GA skin and cancer clinic). I went there for about 6 months and couldn't stand it. Would never answer the phone and waited over an hour just to be seen for my scheduled appt. So happy I was able to find Caroline Turner. She's been an absolute blessing. They respond to messages almost immediately. Always make sure I have my medication on time. I never wait for more than 10-15 min. The office is very clean and the office staff is always very nice and accommodating. Thank you Low Country Dermatology <3

I love how quickly they’re able to see me when I have an issue. Elizabeth Brennan is who I have the most experience with. She knew my baby son’s diagnosis in seconds and was the reason he stayed out of the hospital with a severe allergic reaction. She has taken care of all of my children and me, and I cannot say enough good things about how smart and capable she is. At my most recent visit I had the pleasure of being treated by the NP Caroline. She also was competent, kind, and personable. They always run in a timely manner. I am so impressed with this team.

This was my first time seeing dermatology for hormonal acne concerns. I saw Elizabeth who listened to my concerns/history and addressed the problem from multiple angles with multiple treatments and explained why each one would be helpful for my particular acne. After 3 months on this regimen, my skin is almost completely clear now! I went from having a new cystic/painful pimple on my face every morning to having maybe 2 small pimples a month now. My skin is so much healthier now and I only regret not going sooner!

The staff and facilities are top of the line. Super-friendly and efficient. The only possible improvement would be to get the appointment time and the actual time in closer alignment. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Low Country Dermatology to anyone looking for a great dermatologist. I did some extensive investigation before choosing them, and I wasn't disappointed! Unfortunately, they weren't able to shave off any of my years, but other than that they achieved near perfection.

I have been Doctor Howington’s patient for over five years and have very high confidence in her professional expertise. She has successfully treated me for two different types of skin cancer and prevented others by careful surveillance and removal of pre-cancerous tissue.
After I canceled a number of appointments during the Covid 19 pandemic, I recently became concerned about the possible return of a previously treated nose cancer. I was given an immediate appointment and my concerns were resolved after a thorough examination. I highly recommend this five-star dermatologist!

Everything about Low Country Dermatology is great. It is a state of the art building, and from the moment you walk in, you are taken care of professionally and courteously in the reception area. My appointments are always on time. The doctors and all of the medical staff are excellent at diagnosing, treating and explaining what needs to be done. I am so glad that our family has chosen Low Country Dermatology as our caregiver for this specialty.
