Residents of slowly but surely developing Olde Towne East had long yearned for a neighborhood gathering place. In June, the wait ended with the tavern opening. We are a friendly neighborhood restaurant and bar located at 889 Oak Street in the heart of historic Olde Towne East near downtown Columbus.
We offer a full food menu for lunch, dinner, and late night dining and carryout, seven days a week. The menu offers traditional bar food with a healthy, delicious spin, featuring many of our favorites with a few twists. To compliment the food, we also offer a classic cocktail menu, full wine list, and an extensive craft beer selection, including 20 drafts and 100+ bottle/can selections.

Just moved to the neighborhood . The back patio is great. There is a fire-pit. There are a few tables. I assume this area stays full on days with nice weather. It is dog friendly.
The bar partrons are a diverse group, so it seems like everyone is welcome. The food was great. The menu had a combination of standards and also some creations you'll only see here. All of the options were American style food options.
This is definitely a place I'll frequent while I'm in this part of Columbus.
I visit here regularly and always have good service and quality good.

My husband and I have visited often and have always been happy with your food and service. But on this occasion both were pretty bad. Others all around us came, ordered food, ate and left before our orders were even taken. We had 4 people in our party. After our orders were finally taken, we waited a very long time, noticing others still coming and going, and no food for our table. I nicely told a waitress that we been waiting a long time and her reply was “I know”. When it finally came out, it was not hot and the Cuban sandwich was not made correctly. She took it back and it never did get

First time here, wanted to try something in the area. Met a friend for dinner and drinks. It was clean. Attractive. Quaint. The wait staff was pleasant and efficient. Enjoyed the veggie nachos for happy hour and had the brie/pear grilled cheese. It was well prepared but wouldn't order it again. I will definitely return and I highly recommend giving it a try. I would be a bar regular if I lived within walking distance.

Great neighborhood joint for a relaxed meal. They have a wonderful covered patio with a fire pit and a nice herb garden off to one side. The food and drinks are good and the staff is very friendly. It definitely deserves 5 stars, but I do wish they would switch up the menu to incorporate seasonal veggies and what not. Give it a try, it is well worth it!

Olde Towne Tavern is a hidden gem on the east side of Columbus. Abundant on-street parking on S 18th. We walked in on a Friday night@8p but it wasn’t very crowded. We sat out on the back patio which was very nice. The nachos (see picture) were as mountainous as we had been told to expect. The waitresses were busy but still attentive. Best of all, they had an organic chocolate stout (see other pictures) that I had not had the pleasure of drinking before. Possibly the best chocolate stout I’ve ever had.
All-in-all, a great experience in a comfortable spot that enables good conversation. We’ll
