Sally has worked for DSA Dermatology since 2007. You may know her from checking in, checking out, making appointments or needing a manager to help assist you at our office. She has worn many hats at DSA Dermatolgy over the years but is currently the lead front office person and receptionist. Sally grew up in Michigan, but has been in Texas all her adult life.
When not at work she loves spending time with her family and grandchildren, taking long walks and is an avid reader.

At DSA Dermatology, we bring to you the best of not one but three leading dermatologists in Plano TX, Dr. Daniel S. Achtman, Dr. Carmine G. McConnell and Dr. Jordan. Dr. Achtman is a board-certified Dermatologist with over three decades of experience. Having graduated from the medical school of McMaster University, he also studied at the UTSW Medical Center in Dallas, TX where he also served as Chief Resident in the Department of Dermatology.
Our patients describe Dr. Achtman as a caring, personable individual who takes the time to listen. He believes that communication is an essential part of quality care, and he considers every patient to be a dear friend. He wants to understand the medical concerns and aesthetic goals of a patient before recommending a course of treatment, because he recognizes that you are unique, and so is your skin.
Dr. Jordan Achtman is the son of Drs. Achtman and McConnell. He was born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Jordan Achtman earned both his Bachelor of Arts and Medical Degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. After graduating medical school, he returned to the state he loves where he completed his residency in dermatology at UT Southwestern.
Dysport is a neuromodulator, very similar to Botox. Either formula is a wonderful treatment for smoothing away wrinkles, by relaxing the muscles that cause them. No, but it's not permanent. Within two to four months, your body can metabolize the product, though the results may last up to one year. Typically, you will see results within a few days of your appointment, although in some cases it may take up to two weeks.
If you are taking any blood thinners, including ibuprofen, aspirin, or fish oil, you may be advised to discontinue use two weeks prior to treatment, with the approval of your primary physician. You may experience slight swelling, lasting from two to seven days. There is also a risk of mild bruising at the site of the injection.

Very few doctors are willing to spend the time to fully explain all of the costs and benefits of specific treatments; however, at DSA Dermatology, you will get the time you need with the experts. I highly recommend this practice. I have been a patient for years, and three generations of us go there.

The receptionists and the billing department are incredibly dishonest and rude! So for my insurance I need referrals, but the receptionist never told me that my referral expired! They should’ve known to inform me that I need a new referral. Instead they let me pay the $25 copay to be seen by the doctor, and then they called me past 21 days (they called me ONE YEAR after my appointment) to where I can’t do a retroactive referral with my primary care physician. And they do this, so then they can stick me with the bill! That is incredibly dishonest! I just spoke to the receptionist, and they just

Doctors and staff are cheerful and amazingly kind. I appreciate the time the doctor spent listening to my concerns and addressing each one. He and the nurse also checked to see where I could get my new prescriptions cheapest and had them sent out before I even left the exam room. Best dermatological experience of my life!
