Services
Azalea Lakes Veterinary Clinic is proud to serve the Baton Rouge and surrounding areas for everything pet related. Our clinic is owned by Dr. Suzanne Boucher, who is a licensed, experienced veterinarian. She is helped by Dr. Gretchen Godbee, Dr. Tara Farmer, and Dr. Margaret Borne. Together they are what keeps Azalea Lakes Veterinary Clinic going.
Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. You can even request an appointment via our website or the PetPro Connect Mobile App. Our receptionists should get back to you to confirm your appointment the next work day.
We understand that not everyone's schedule allows them to make appointments during the day. We do offer a drop off service on Monday-Friday. You can drop off your pet on Monday, Wednesday & Friday between 7:00am-noon and on Tuesday & Thursday between 8:00am-noon and we will take care of whatever they need.
If you have an emergency, please call us immediately (225) 755-3838 or come straight to our clinic. During our regular business hours, we are fully staffed and prepared to handle any medical emergency your pet may encounter. We have an experienced staff that is trained to use some of the most advanced diagnostic and clinical resources in our field.
Are you aware that pets age much faster than people and can be considered "seniors" at around 7 years of age? Just as our health care needs change as we age, your pet's health care needs also change. Nutritional needs, exercise habits, and many aspects of your pet's daily routine can change as your pet ages.

I have received the best care for my 3 cats and miniature schnauzer. They have also helped with baby squirrels that fell from a nest and a baby opossum. The owner is my favorite person there and she feels like family. Very personable!

These ladies are awesome. I brought one of my cat colony to be fixed through a CAAWS voucher and they did a great job, treated her well and I discovered that one of their doctors treat exotics for the lizard of my daughter's that messed up it's jaw during a rehouse and chomp. They quoted me one price to do a drop off exam then decided to keep the critter for the weekend to see if there was more they could do, and when they couldn't, didn't charge full price for the original exam or the weekend room and board plus meds. So very satisfied with them.

I came to Baton Rouge because I was displaced from Hurricane Ida. I realized that I had forgotten my dog’s flea and heartworm medication. The staff here were so polite and caring!! They asked about my family, pet and property. They confirmed all necessary information from the papers I brought in since my vet office is without power and got my pup his medication. If I’m ever away from home I will be using this vet for any needs because of the way they put pets first!! So appreciative of their caring and helpfulness!! 100/10!! Storm and I thank y’all!

From neutering our boar guinea pig so he could have a herd (Magic Happens Rabbit Rescue!)to tender care and concern for our recently adopted kittens from Cat Haven (who they also work with) I cant give enough praise for the entire team. Stellar and worth the drive from Walker for the best vet care in the area!
