Very happy with our stay at the Makai via Central Reservations / VRBO. The unit was super-clean, very nice and just as described. Everything from A/C to laundry to kitchen were in great working order. It had a great view overlooking the bay while just 1 block from the ocean-side beach. The swimming pool, pool-room and other amenities were just great. Check in and check-out were super-easy. Very happy indeed and we'll be back.

We expected the condo to be thoroughly cleaned because of COVID but had intentions to go an extra step and disinfect everything for our peace of mind. Upon arrival the condo looks as pictured online but the longer we stayed the more flaws we found. The master bedroom ac vent was not working so we had to leave the door open to let some cool air in. The second bedroom was the worst- just seemed like minimal effort, if any was taken to “clean” it. The carpet is sticky and looks dirty. The beds had crumbs on them and the room overall was dusty. The bathroom next to it had a toilet seat

We stayed a long weekend and room 106 is very nice! They are doing maintenance on the exterior but that's typical for off season. The one big disappointment was the indoor pool is still freezing cold. I saw that someone commented 8 months ago about the pool and the owner responded that it had been fixed, this is not the case. There wasn't any strong chemical smell but definitely not heated!
UPDATE: The pool temperature did improve the next night so they may have kicked it up a notch but there wasn't anyone with a thermometer to verify when we were there!

We rented a condo for 4 days and 3 nights at Makai. The condo was beautiful and spacious, the beds were soft. There was a full kitchen as well as a washer and dryer (perfect for families!). Our family had a lot of fun on this trip and renting a condo was the perfect way to do it. I will say though, the indoor swimming pool was pretty cold, our kiddos didn't seem to mind as they got use to it. My 5yr old said it wasn't too cold once you got use to it. Other than that, everything was amazing!

We just returned from a nice weekend getaway with the family and had a beautiful time. We stayed at unit 308, the owner Wilson was very nice, friendly and accommodating. The place was neat, building well kept. The only thing was that we didn't get to enjoy the pool because while the room itself is heated, the pool was freezing cold, I had to take my kids out after 20 minutes because their lips were purple. There was also an extremely strong chemical smell that burned our eyes just from being in the room. Other than that, I would definitely recommend and stay again. Great location, lots to do for

Awesome building that is very well managed! We stayed here for an extended weekend during the winter and used a vacation rental site to book the unit through it's owner. The building is very nice, with wonderful amenities including the indoor pool and the billiards room. Our unit was on the 5th floor facing the bay with wonderful views for sunrise and sunset. The key less coded building entry was a plus. The location is in a great spot, walking distance to the beach/boardwalk and dozens of stores along coastal highway.
