IMPORTANT: Please note that to take your order we need at least 24 to 48 hours in advance. We receive all orders until 4 pm of the day before. Served with mozzarella and baby tomato sauce, accompanied with a fresh arugula and cucumber salad with a raspberry dressing on the side.

All of the Alexandria Pastry Shop's cakes, pastries and confections are made from scratch, with the finest and freshest ingredients available. We use only sweet butter and fresh cream from Shenandoah Valley creameries, farm fresh eggs, the finest chocolate from Belgium and France and fresh fruit. As with any preservative-free food all of our cakes should be kept refrigerated.

I would not recommend these folks if you need your catering to arrive on time. I hired them for a large family gathering before a funeral on a weekday at Arlington National Cemetery. I told them that timing was very important as we had no wiggle room in the time we all needed to leave for the funeral. 30 minutes past the time they were due to deliver the food they were NO WHERE in sight. I could not get a hold of anyone by phone. When I did finally get someone to answer the phone they said they could not contact the driver. I was about to order pizza when they finally showed up 40 minutes late

Placed a starbucks order and decided to poke my head into this bakery shop. The staff was really nice and helpful given there was a bit of a rush. Pricing for my croissant and cake was around 11 and some change which isn't horrible. The croissant was really good. The cake was actually pretty good, I was hesitant at first, but it was a good amount of raspberry that was paired with the chocolate. Next time I'm in the area I'd go back. I didn't get a chance to really see what all they had due to the amount of people in line

I was in search of a tiramisu cake for my mom's birthday. When I called to get info about options for ordering a cake, the woman on the phone was really nice and helpful. I ordered the 1/4 sheet size tiramisu, which serves about 20 ppl and costs about $62. The cake was really nicely put together, and smelled really good. Unfortunately, the cake was dry and did not taste like tiramisu. The cake was light, but somehow dry and did not really have coffee flavor. I got a corner piece, and couldn't even 'cut' a piece of cake with my fork. I've never tried any of their other pastries

Our wedding cake was from the Alexandria Pastry Shop and to this day we still get compliments on how extraordinarily delicious it was. We chose their triple chocolate mousse, tiramisu and caramel pear cakes, which we highly recommend you try all three. Even more wonderful is that we can go back to get these cakes anytime, and they're just as pleasantly delightful as they were on our special day. Thank you to the good folks at APS for being such a delectable part of our lives! :)

It's cute, the staff is super nice, good variety of food/treats, but ultimately disappointed with the quality of the pastries.
Cheesecake brownie: cheesecake was moist and flavorful, but the brownie portion was dry/crumbly, and didn't taste like anything (not even chocolate)

Great place for a pastry and coffee! We stopped by for lunch; grabbed a breakfast sandwich (which they serve late on weekends) a bagel, and coffee. Food and service were great, plenty of parking in a busy strip mall.
No Wifi; but other than that, we would definitely visit again! The pastries look delicious.

And get this, add avocado is $2.50. That is exactly one third of the price of the entire sandwich. ARE YOU KIDDING ME ???

The setting is nothing fancy, but the pastries are the best I've had in this area. Chain coffee shops can't compare to the wonderful selection here. The cakes are beautiful to look at and melt in your mouth.
Now that our condo shuttle bus will be stopping at Bradlee, I'll make sure I have time to enjoy coffee and dessert before heading home.
