The Best Sandwich Place is a fast casual restaurant that offers breakfast and lunch to the Franklin square area. Only the highest-quality local ingredients are used in our diverse and unique menu. Our bread is baked daily by a local bakery, all the ingredients including sauces and dressing are prepared in house daily, and every sandwich and salad is made fresh to order.

If you want true artisan handcrafted salads and sandwiches with our unique dressing and sauces please come and see it yourself. We welcome you with open arms. The Best Sandwich Place is conveniently located by the McPherson Metro station in DC. This is my go-to lunch spot for when I'm craving a sandwich as there are many delicious options.

Request Catering Report

Prices include delivery and set-up. An additional charge may be added for delivery outside the area. All orders are completely set-up with disposable plates, serving utensils, napkins and table cloth. Please place all orders at least 24 hours before the catering time. When canceling an order, please do so with a 24 hours' notice.

I got the portobello melt that had mushrooms, arugula, balsamic plum sauce, and cheese on sourdough. Interesting and tasty but noticeably soggy. Decently priced, and super friendly staff. There are salads as well. Can be busy around lunch time so order beforehand online.

Yummy, good amount for the price. I grabbed kimchi bowl and ribeye sandwich for hubs. We have devoured half of the sandwich before I took the pic. Total is about $25 including a bottle of water and a small coffee.

Love this place! Pre pandemic, this was a weekly lunch staple for my colleagues and me. It is consistently good, the portions are generous, the service is fast, and everyone is very nice and helpful. Don’t miss this place for a quick, hearty lunch in downtown!

You should eat here. We did twice in a row and it would be three but they're closed tomorrow.
Great food, fresh ingredients and great people.

First time been there quick service I got the fried chicken salad wrap was really good, was so big I could only eat half of it for sure will be back again the gentleman at the cash register was so nice thank you so much for an amazing wrap

Sadly, not as much recent experience here at Best Sandwich Place as I'd've liked! since I haven't been in to my downtown D.C. much in the past 18 months... but on my last two trips into town, I've had an excellent breakfast and an excellent lunch here (one each)! I didn't snap a pic of it but I tried their Korean steak sandwich today -- all the best parts of a classic cheesesteak, plus spicy daikon and Korean spices! how could you possibly go wrong with that? Friendly service, big portions and unpretentious sandwiches -- I'll miss B.S.P. when our agency moves to its new location in January.

Ran here as it was a hot day in dc. A lot of people were coming to get lunch. The place was filling up quick, but the owner was able to get us a seat. Sandwhich was excellent! Also, Jazz Jennings was here!!

Great spot to grab lunch! Sandwiches are as advertised and the service is always great. Salads are also a great value for what you get. The owners do a fantastic job here. Has become a go to lunch spot over the years.

Lunch spot staple located just off of Farragut Square. Been here several times and tried their sandwiches and salads.
The sandwiches are excellent, and they offer a wide range of different fillings. The Ribeye Steak sandwich was really good and came with a pickle, you can also upgrade and get a bag of crisps and a drink for a dollar. The salads are not bad, you get a large amount for what you pay but I’ve had better at other establishments on the same square.
During lunch time the line moves but it can sometimes be a little slow. Overall a good place to get a bite to eat if you find yourself

I work nearby and stopped by for a quick bite. The guy behind the sandwich counter (possibly an owner or manager, based on his ego) had a bit of an attitude. They were out of a few vegetarian options and didn't get a good answer or explanation when asking for things. I'll either stick with the salad bar option or steer clear of this restaurant. So many other restaurants with better customer service in Georgetown.

We ordered lunch at this place to go on a boat ride as part of our bus tour. I ordered chipotle chicken sandwich. They were out of grilled chicken so I asked them if they could substitute the crispy chicken instead. She made me a completely different sandwich and would not remake the sandwich I wanted. I had no choice but to take the sandwich because our boat was leaving. The cashier threw a free cookie in the bag for my inconvenience. I will never go here again!

We had breakfast there: omelette and croissants w/freshly brewed coffee! The place was very clean and the personnel was very friendly and patient. I would go back!
