In addition to sealing off the area with plastic sheeting, we will sweep and vacuum the work area continuously throughout the process. I would absolutely recommend Nelson Hardwood. They fit us in quickly and did an amazing job. We have 80yr old floors and some stains didn’t come out. They recommended a stain color that would cover it - and it looks amazing. No visible marks through the stain and a great finished look. Also, we had them feather in new flooring and you would never know it was not part of the original hardwood. Great experience and love my floors!

Our entire experience with Nelson Hardwood Flooring was superb. First, Rob's communication was impeccable- even texts like "I'm running 2 minutes behind." Very respectful of our time. There are always things that pop up with construction projects- he was very transparent, prompt, and provided great advice to help us move forward without delay. Second, we decided to demo our existing floors ourselves, and Rob went above and beyond to help us do that successfully, even showing us how to remove trim and demo tile so we could tackle it. Thirdly, he and his team returned after the job was complete to

Nelson Hardwood Flooring installed new hardwood floors and refinished our existing floors, matching the two. We still cannot believe how seamless the old floors transition to the new floors. You cannot tell what was original to our house (built in the early 90s) versus what was installed this month.
Robert Nelson and his team answered our many questions quickly. Scheduling was also surprisingly quick and they stuck to the agreed upon schedule, working late on a Friday to get the job done.

We had Rob out to look at our 18 year old oak laminate flooring in our kitchen and dining room. It was pretty beat up. We wondered if it could be refinished, because although the product description said it could be refinished once, we were told by someone else it had to be replaced.

Rob was extremely responsive over phone, email, and text, and was happy to answer my dozens of questions about hardwood. The team noticed that one of the rooms slated for refinishing used engineered wood that might show plywood after sanding, and Rob convinced me to leave it alone and drastically reduced the price. They replaced, for free, a board through which the previous owners had drilled a hole.
And the quality of the final floor is just gorgeous; we really couldn't be happier with

Was referred to Nelson flooring and was glad I did. He was very helpful in terms of providing options and provided recommendations. Ended up going with a sanding and coating option to go with a natural look, and turned out great. They arrived promptly and finished quicker than I expected. Prices were reasonable as well when shopping around. Would highly recommend.
