From routine exams to urgent emergencies, our veterinary medical team is prepared to provide quality medical care for your pet at an affordable price. Payment is due at time of service; if needed, financing options are available through CareCredit. We recommend annual wellness visits for all dogs and cats.

Allegheny North Veterinary Hospital is a busy 3-doctor small animal practice in the North Hills of Pittsburgh. We are a strong, cohesive team of veterinarians and paraprofessionals that feel like family.
Online appointment & prescription requests are monitored Monday thru Friday. We will review and respond to weekend submissions on Monday during normal business hours. If your pet needs immediate care outside of our normal business hours, please call Pittsburgh Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Center (PVSEC) at 412-366-3400.
We know your pets are part of the family, so we want to help make sure they are healthy as they enter their golden years. Just as in humans, a senior pet's health can change each year, sometimes sooner. Routine health care visits are recommended every 6 months to monitor for and treat common diseases found in senior pets.

We have taken both dogs to ANVH for over 3 years now, and I can’t say enough good things about the entire staff. They are thorough, patient, and always accommodating. We have had a lot of issues recently with our Bernese Mountain Dog, and they have seen us on super short notice, and have been more than willing to jump on a call to ease our minds when we are unsure. Highly recommend!! Dr Gaiser and Dr Lisa know there stuff, and they care about you and your pet.

I was able to get a same day appointment for my geriatric cat that was having a stomach problem. Everyone in the office was very kind and knowledgeable. Dr. Amy told me to come back in a couple days if things didn't improve, and once again they were able to squeeze me in for a same day appointment. After on site x-rays and some meds, I'm happy to say my 18 year old furry boy is back to normal once again and gleefully ruling his kingdom!
