I used to live in Fresno years ago like 5+. I just returned to this location last week and the food is still as good as it ever was! Even post pandemic! Highly recommend it

OMG the Carne asada loaded burrito is to die for. From the hot off the grill taste on the Carne to the perfect mixture of beans to rice plus guacamole exploding in your mouth. Your taste buds will be jumping around in excitement. Don't forget to add a michelada completo to compliment this delicious meal. Thank me later......#MCAZ

Yesterday i bought a breakfast burrito. it got me badly ill with intestinal infection , no like rhey d care about it. anyways, i guess this is it. i m not going back to them anymore
bloated stomack, light headed, ,weakness, chills . they used.to be a good eatery, but i noticed, not long ago that their food quality dcreased.

Found this hidden gem, on a late night, and glad I did. Food was amazing family loved it, great portions for the price you pay. The only reason I have 4 stars was customer service, the lady at the register was as rude as they come, I told her it was our first time there just but we already knew what we wanted, as I said the first item, she begins with the famous ANYTHING ELSE, again I say an item and again ANYTHING ELSE, basically she sounded like a rude McDonald's worker, even though we didn't really look at the menu cuz we knew what we wanted, the lady kept rushing us rolling her eyes, it was

Great authentic Mexican food, friendly service. Very busy lunch hour, but they'll get you served quickly.

I tend to like ordering from here because they make a decent burrito. But the last few times I have gone they have consistently gotten my order wrong and I have been very clear and concise when telling them what I would like. Cleanliness is also lacking and has consistently been going even further down hill. People working aren't masked properly and some aren't masked at all. I literally watched a guy walk in and place an order. Once he finished he apparently knew the cooks because he reached over the glass and fist bumped each one and was yelling across the counter as they were handling

Bomb af But I was confused how I got up to almost $30 with three tacos and a Michelada and realized that the tacos were humongous and I should've only ordered one or two. Lesson learned

Very popular and highly crowded place in north Fresno. Food wise, the quality is decent and meats are serviceable. However, the customer service is where this place is excellent. Incredibly friendly staff that's ready to help and the food was brought out super fast despite being super crowded. There's plenty of parking outside and theres even outside seating.

Pretty horrible packaging when getting Menudo. They use plastic lids like for the soda to cover up a hot soup. The soup was scorching hot and my cousin got into the car The plastic melted and the cup holder they gave us just melted on how hot the soup was. My cousin got second-degree burns on his legs. When We called to complain they said that they've been serving soup like this all the time. This is extremely dangerous it could've been a horrible had my kids or somebody else for that matter had drop the soup on themselves. I did however get a refund for my order. Just extremely upset

Not professional at all . I'm a regular customer and called 8 : 40 to order food . She never answered the phone and after calling 5 times they answered and she gave the phone to the Mexican cook who doesn't speak any English that's how you teach your employees to run a business Mr owner . You need to change your oil and deep cleaning update your timing and let the customer knows not leaving it online till 9 pm and she was like my boss orders is bla bla . I was couple of restaurants and that way not professional at all !!

Less than 1 star! Horrible customer service. Was left standing waiting for my food while my order sat on the counter. They didnt even bother to let me know or ask what i was waiting for. All tables were dirty and when i asked if they can please wipe one down for my family and i they gave us an attitude like i wasnt a paying customer! Worst sopes i have tasted. These are literally grocery store bought sopes, the ones that come in a bag with chile verde and chicken that taste like reheated leftovers. And the worst, room temperature beer!!! I have ate here before with no issues. This place has 4 star

THE SHRIMP BOTANA!

In my opinion, the best thing on the menu. The shrimp is so perfectly cooked and seasoned. The best bite is when you have a shrimp, some avocado, and some of the greens. It comes with 12 shrimps and its so fire. Shrimp is easy to peel too!! Everytime I'm in the area I'll order multiple Shrimp Botanas to give to family. It's THAT good.

There's currently no indoor seating due to COVID. Staff was nice and the food was made fairly quickly! This location is pretty small in terms of space but social distancing is still enforced. No mask no entry - def COVID

Fu..k this nasty place!!! Don't go there half an hour prior to close. This is the place that will give you all the scraps from the grill on your burrito. I will never come back here. They charge $3 dollars more for meat and they only put 2oz of meat in it.
They need to hire new cooks with license to cook.

Our first time here was excellent !! Loved the spicy shrimp Tacos. Ordered the Carne Asada tacos also and a carnita super burrito. We didn't try those yet.

Don Pepe is always one of my favorites places!! The asada has great grill great taste. Sopes, tacos, tortas, shrimp cocktail, and all their menu it's great!! Delicious! Recommended!! 5

It was meh. It wasn't the best tasting Mexican food and it wasn't the worst. We ordered a carne asada super burrito and tostada de ceviche.

The carne asada super burrito was clean tasting and had fresh avocado (without the fresh avocado I would have probably given a two star review, but I appreciate the effort, most places will add a watered down version of guacamole inside their burrito). The meat could have used a bit more seasoning, but it DID seem like good quality meat.

The ceviche was.....ok? I think. I liked the fish portion, but the shrimp tasted a little old and it was not

I'm not sure if I was starving or what, but the vegetarian super burrito from Don Pepe was it of this world. It was simple yet done perfectly. I haven't had Mexican food this good in a while. The size was just right, I didn't feel sick after eating the entire thing to myself. I live in the Bay Area where Mexican food is mediocre, so Don Pepe was a great! We called our order in ahead of time and it was ready within 15 minutes. If you are in the area, you must stop here! It is on the way back to the Bay Area from Sequoia National Park. I only wish I ordered 2 so I could have a burrito

Don Pepe's is like my favorite Mexican food place I ever!!! I have gone to all the locations except the new location on Kings Canyon. I have came to this location like hundreds of times before I was a yelper.

The first time I heard of Don Pepe's was when I was a senior in high school (2011) as my history teacher would RAVE about their tortas and Shrimp Botana. I tried it the summer of 2011 when I had summer classes at Fresno State and fell in love with this restaurant. My first time ever trying a torta and it was so delicious and flavorful.
