After trying 3 other TERRIBLE tire places in DC that were recommended to me…I was going to give up and go to a National chain. Then I did a quick google search and found Action Al’s. They are what I assume is a family run business that truly takes pride in their work…and it shows. When I was in there, a man from Annapolis, MD told me he’s been coming to Al’s for 10+ years. So I showed up and pulled in what resembled a drive-thru. I was greeted by a friendly mechanic who showed me where to park and head in. That’s where I met Lori! She asked me some questions and then made her recommendations

These guys are awesome! I can't say enough about how great Dave and the Team are at Action Al's.
They are extremely knowledgeable, honest, with fair prices and will work with you to keep you informed and to meet your needs. It's a busy place, but they will squeeze you in and take care of you - fast! They will get you back on the road quickly and safely!

Right before making our way back to NYC, we saw one of my brand new tires had a bump on the side wall. We called Action Al since I researched they sold the manufacturer of my tires. We got on the phone with Dave. They didn't have the specific brand of tire I needed (since I was still within warranty) but he was super helpful in next steps and referred us to someone else. After an hour of calling other shops in search for the brand of tire I needed, we realized we were out of luck.

To say that these guys are personable is a gross understatement. I had to wait around one hour (very normal) to have 4 tires replaced on my 20 year old E320 Mercedes but was warmly welcomed and very entertained by the members of this tight knit Italian American family, so that the wait time passed rapidly. They started up in 1962 and Al the patriarch was still working there at 90 years old!

We had a great experience working with Action Al's. Gary was super helpful over the phone finding the tire we needed to replace and very transparent about the pricing. They were able to get it in the same day and fit us in for an appointment before they closed. They were very flexible on timing and super quick and friendly! Overall a very positive experience!

This is a family business, their service is fantastic, the owner Dave and his nephew Tim are very helpful, explained and even wrote down what they did for my BF (who was not there at the time) in case he has any question later, we really appreciate it. As someone who knew little about cars, I feel they've been very honest and helpful, did not take advantage of me and Dave mentioned if his wife had a flat tire and was along, he would hope someone would help her out so he was very nice and honest with me. I had this flat tire and dragged it a couple miles so I knew I would definitely need a new one

This family-owned business in Northeast is the absolute best. The entire staff from the mechanics to the owners are personable, extremely competent and a pleasure to do business with. The prices are extremely fair and they remember me every time I come back. They are quick and have a new tire on my car in ten to fifteen minutes every time. They are a perfect example of what a family owned business should be and I am happy to spend my money there if it means they will be around for many more years to come.

This is my go to spot when I need tires. I got 2 new tires for $250, and they reset my TPMS. It's a family business that has been in DC for YEARS. They are knowledgeable and have great customer service. I would recommend them to anyone who needs a tire. Granted, they aren't 24 hours like MAC'S, but they have more space to work on your car so they get you in and out faster.

This place is really amazing. I called in the morning in inquire about tires options and pricing. I spoke with an amazing man named Gary. He gave me a lot of information for my car. When I arrived I asked for Gary and the team took complete care of me. I waited in the waiting area for about 25 minutes and I was in/out. I got 3 tires in no time. I will definitely be back soon.

Got a screw in my new Tesla and the dealership said they wouldn't be able to patch it due to the location and would need to order a tire which wouldn't be in stock for at least 5-10 business days. I took my wheel over to Action Als on a Saturday morning and they took my wheel and patched it immediately with about a 15 minute wait. Super friendly staff and management team. I was so appreciative and it only cost me $25 to get back on the road. Thank you!

Action Al's is great! I went in to address a slow leak in one of my tires on a Friday afternoon. You pull through the side of the building to the back (follow the signs), tell an employee the problem you're having, and sit in your car while they get to work. Within a half hour they'd found the leak, patched my tire, re-attached it, and had me on my way-- all for under $30. Plus, the folks inside, where you go to pay, are super friendly. I'd add that, with respect to the pandemic, they were all wearing masks and gloves, and had hand sanitizer available. I would highly recommend

This is my go to tire shop in dC. They consistently beat the big box stores and eBay in pricing. Also this is a family run business that employs local residents. I feel good giving them my hard earned $$ because they consistently over deliver customer satisfaction and stand behind their products. I recommend checking in with them on any tire related purchases . You will not be disappointed.

What an awesome family business. They always take care of me. In the last few months, I can came in & purchased 4 new Michelin tires,which are pretty expensive. Less than 6 months later, I must have hit something on the side of the road leaving a huge slit in my brand new tire. Dave was so helpful that he called & got me a much cheaper Goodwill tire. This price totally cut my price in half than what he would've charged me. These folks are awesome. I'll always bring my cars here as well and I would totally recommend this spot.

Three years ago was my first time at Action Al's with my old car! That car had 14" tires! This time, I was back with my newer car with 17" tires! My uncle who helped me order the tires from Action Al's was with me this time! My tires were ordered weeks before and came in earlier in the week! We went in on a Saturday morning, they open at 8am! We got there about 10 minutes before 8, but they were open and took my car in! I was out of there before 8:30am! I cannot say how much I appreciate this family owned business!
