NeuroCentric Health and Fitness is not just about fitness. NCHF is a way of conscious living based on the latest scientific research. NCHF offers comprehensive health, wellness, and fitness programs. These programs put individuals in control of their health, using tools that were provided at birth: our brain, our nervous system, our sensory system, and our cardiovascular system.

Our body and our brain work collectively, via a constant loop-feedback system. To achieve optimal health, high athletic and/or career performance, we need a well-functioning brain. A "Fit Brain" allows us to think clearly, be alert, feel alive, have great energy, move with ease, and avoid pain and injury.
Services
Ildiko (Ildi) Varhelyi was born and raised in Hungary. At the age of six she started playing basketball and was a member of A league teams for more than fifteen years. Even today, you may catch a glimpse of her shooting around or playing a game of pick up. Ildi moved to the United States twenty years ago, and started working as a personal trainer for Boston's most well known health club (where currently she teaches yoga).
50 is the new 30! We have all heard that, and we would all like it to be true. What if your body doesn't think that way? You go for a run, go skiing, play tennis, play a round of golf or maybe a pickup basketball game. Then your body aches for days, and it never seems to recover. Eventually, you start moving less and less.
A profound aspect of our well being is based on having a well functioning sense of balance. Our balance system gives us our sense of orientation in space. It tells us when we are upright, and how gravity is affecting our bodies by detecting motion in space. It uses three systems to do this, visual (eyes), vestibular (inner ears), and proprioceptive ( the ability to sense body positioning) systems.
According to the latest research, pain is not necessarily an indication that there is tissue damage, or there is an injury. Pain is an action signal, a request to change our behaviors: our posture, our movement, our breathing and/or our diet. Pain is a combination of sensory information reaching the brain, and the ability of the brain to read, interpret and act on those signals.
There is partial truth in this, but, we can all agree that healthy employees are equally a valuable asset. Today's workplace oftentimes demands 10 + hour days, long hours of traveling through crowded airports to meetings and conferences, and long hours into the night catching up with family responsibilities.

The studio is lovely and very well-equipped, and there are a variety of classes. However, what really differentiates Ildi's studio from other studios is the breadth of her knowledge about the way the body works and the connection between the mind and the body. She is an excellent yin yoga teacher, and she also has a background in personal training and massage, which makes her extremely proficient at what she does and very skilled at working with injuries. Since I have been working with her, I no longer have back pain, and I feel much more flexible and energetic. I really can't say enough about

I met Ildi 18 months ago when I was diagnosed with vestibular neuritis, manifesting in vertigo. I was dizzy all the time, I had difficulty standing, walking and was constantly afraid of falling. My body was not working well and that affected every aspect of my life, including my Real Estate career. Meeting Ildi literally saved my life. My experience was absolutely incredible. NeuroCentric Health is exactly what it's name means. I run and run and run and don't take the time to see what is missing until someone points it out. The personal focus of ILDY is compelling and effective. After leaving the office my flexibility and awareness to my weak side was personally shown to me by ILDY and I was taught what to do to keep aware. Excellent place

I have been to therapists before, but Ildi is different . She makes sure she understands the root cause of the problem and then devises a plan to fix it, and does it in an efficient and effective manner. Unlike some who want to stretch out the number of visits, Ildi wants to fix the problem as quickly as possible. In short, she is terrific!

Working with Ildy has been a game changer. She helped me train for my first marathon at the age of 55-no small feat! Not only is she super knowledgeable and confident about how to more fully integrate one's body/neurological capacity to maximize one's physical performance, she is also patient, caring and funny. Ildiko Varhelyl has created an inviting and bright studio in which to conduct her excellent sessions. She puts her extensive knowledge of the human body to work is an amazing variety of ways. The studio looks like a playroom and some of the sessions have you using your body as though you are playing... but you are actually using your brain and body in incredible ways. Her knowledge is vast and any time spent here is valuable time well-spent! I encourage anyone who wants to know and use their body in new ways to sign up for Ildi sessions. You will reap many rewards.

Ildi is a very unconventional, but effective holistic movement specialist. After each session my shoulder pain has been decreased following about 40 years of persistent aching. I am not quite sure how she does it but it works and I look forward to her reducing my pain to nothing.

Is an amazing healer, mentor, yoga instructor, pt and the list goes on and on, She has corrected my form to better practice my crazy active life,.I'm a mother of 2 ,I ran a very busy business and I'm a wife. Every time I see Ildi my body thanks me! Her approach to exercise and motion goes above and beyond, she has shown me how if my eyes are not align my whole center of gravity is not align, she has also worked with my 2 teenagers as they are active soccer players and helped them avoid injuries, run better and corrected their posture. Her new Studio is state of the art, there is no-one
