Our company started in the 1960's. While the ownership has changed, as well as the name, it has all been kept within the Browning family. Today, Beverly Browning, CPM, MPM and RMP is the president and owner. I began using Browning-Gordon to manage a rental property in 2017 and continued using them until I sold the property in 2021. They were thorough and responsive. Finding and vetting new tenants and handling maintenance needs was much more efficient than handling these tasks myself. I should have engaged Browning-Gordon when I first began renting the property and I would not hesitate to use them again if I purchase another rental property in the future.

It would have been impossible with the timeline but we were pleasantly surprised to deal with the Browning-Gordon group. From the moment we saw a house available and expressed interest in it, our experience with Browning-Gordon has been professional, timely and appreciated. We did end up renting the home, and have been very pleased. We have had a few hiccups that we needed assistance with and the submission process for maintenance requests has been a breeze. Communication has been mostly through Teresa and Kara and they both are pleasant to work with. I would absolutely endorse renting from this company.

I have rented a property from them for many years. They are quick to fix any maintenance requests. In full transparency, I have never rented from B & G BUT what I can tell you is, I totally would. I have known renters and owners that used B & G for their residential needs and comparing my story of renting in Nashville to their stories, I wish I went this route the first time!

I've been renting through browning Gordon for almost two years now. I found the apartment I liked and got the lease signed soon after. There have been a handful of maintenance requests which were all addressed quickly and properly, one of my biggest factors in judging management companies. When I renewed my lease, Shelly was willing to go back to the owner to negotiate the rent increase (so much construction has been going on in the area a good weeknight sleep is impossible). I haven't moved out yet so I cannot speak to the concerns of others regarding lease extensions or security deposits

I am not familiar with everyone at Browning Gordon as I have dealt with Shelly Hopkins from day 1. I have been renting almost 2 years and have had nothing but a good experience. Shelly is an awesome property manager. Maintenence requests are taken care of the day of and quickly each time. Any problems I have are taken care of efficiently. The only issue I really had was not being able to bring my dog to live with us. But that was not Browning Gordons fault. It was an issue with the homeowner.
Love this group and am happy to have had such a good renting experience.

The good first: they are professional, well-run and respond to maintenance requests quickly. (They couldn't help that our property's owner wanted to "think about it" on whether to repair or replace the fridge the second time it stopped working, ruining over $200 in food while she was "thinking about it" for a day.)
The bad: well, all I can say is that I wish Shelly Hopkins had been MY property manager after reading one of the (filtered) reviews below. My property manager was totally on the owner's side on a lease extension. Don't rent from them expecting
