Great staff, very professional and helpful. Helped me through all steps from service department, trade in, and purchasing. The sales staff was patient teaching me the functions in the new car as well as helping me understand every document I signed. Buying a car can be intimidating but the staff at Jim Burke are always friendly and low pressure. Over the past 10+ years I have bought 3 Subaru Outbacks at Jim Burke and have always received good value from my trade-in and drive away feeling confident in my purchase and loving my new car.

AJ did an personal and professional job managing the 30,000 mile maintenance on our Subaru Forester. AJ even made certain that we were safely on our way from the service center. Will definitely be back.

The Subaru Ascent I bought a couple of years ago for roughly $40k has 27k miles on it. Go to get its 'free' oil change and the tech tells me I need new tires. Says that new cars are only getting about 18-30k on first set of tires. Says if I don't buy the tires, the oil change won't be 'free'.
The tires are close to the wear indicator, but not quite there yet. I ask him how many miles to expect on replacement tires? 50k.
So why didn't Burke/Subaru sell the car with those tires on it? Rhetorical question. Just another scam, like the $600 fuel system service they said I'd need at 30,000 miles. Won

Had a very quick and easy 18,000 mile service at Jim Burke. My service advisor Jordan Cook was excellent! He kept me informed about progress of the service, and also found some hard to find touch up paint. All done in about an hour!

What's with all the bad reviews? I went last summer knowing full well I was walking into a car dealership. I was met by a sales guy who I informed that I would appreciate no hard sales tactics. He respected my honesty and was very careful with how we negotiated. I was prepared to walk away and did. I was able to explore what I wanted and how much I was willing to spend. A few weeks later, he found what I wanted. Hassle free. I got an excellent finance rate. I've got and exceptionally dependable car and free oil changes on top of that. I've visited other dealers before my purchase

Two stars our of five-- heed this warning.
Minimal selection.
Astronomical pricing- higher than most any other dealerships in town (CarGuru backs this up)
What's worse is despite listing a vehicle for sale on Cars.com, CarGuru and AutoTrader, when i called and spoke with a salesman regarding interior pictures (none provided-- suspicious), he later emailed me that he could not FIND the vehicle.
Still have heard nothing more on the matter-- a blown potential sale.

Went in for a 3-year lease quotation, despite I was recommended by friends not to waste my time with this dealership.

All the personnel was very nice and friendly.
After 3 hours sitting there the manager proposed a quotation that - according to them - was the best I could get anywhere else. They told me it was so good that it was only valid until for that afternoon.
I went home, made a call to another Subaru dealership in AL and got a quote for the same trim for $2800 less.

If I could rate Jim Burke Subaru any lower, such as a -10, I would. As a sales professional, I have a great deal of respect and understanding for what it takes to close a deal that is mutual beneficial for both the customer and the company I represent, therefore I tend to give sales people a pass more often than not. Sometimes undeservedly so...

I am relocating to Birmingham to take on a new sales leadership role and wanted to keep the miles off of my Jeep while benefitting from un-recovered business expenses in a lease. I used TrueCar.com to get a price for a Subaru that I wanted and ultimately

I had a very positive experience here. Tom, the subaru mechanic is extremely honest and even remembered me from my last visit 3 years ago! Also, Craig Collier, one of the service managers was helpful to me in figuring out what was going on with my car, which was running rough and throwing strange Check Engine codes.

I was afraid my car had major problems, and the codes that the computer was giving were for a major $1200 repair! However, the guys kept my car 24 hours and determined that it was just in need of $300 worth of tune-up. They could have TOTALLY taken me to the cleaners and been
