With the cost of funeral and burial expenses out of reach for many families, the option for cremation at Whelan Schwartz Funeral home provides a less expensive alternative. Our charge for this service includes transfer of remains to funeral home, basic services of funeral director, staff and overhead, staff & facilities; identification by one individual, up to three days refrigeration as necessary, and crematory fee.
The basic Military Funeral Honors (MFH) ceremony consists of the folding and presentation of the United States flag to the veterans' family and the playing of Taps. The ceremony is performed by a funeral honors detail consisting of at least two members of the Armed Forces. The Funeral Honors rendered to you or your veteran will be determined by the status of the veteran.
A United States flag is provided, at no cost, to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased veteran who served honorably in the U. S. Armed Forces. It is furnished to honor the memory of a veteran's military service to his or her country. Generally, the flag is given to the next-of-kin, as a keepsake, after its use during the funeral service.

Whelan Schwartz Funeral Home is undeniably wonderful. I unfortunately lost my grandmother. I have never planned a funeral in my life and had to plan hers. They helped me every step of the way and never stopped being generous and sympathetic along the way. I highly recommend them for helping your loved ones have a funeral they deserve. Given the current circumstances revolving around Covid-19, they still managed to help give my grandmother a dignified and beautiful service. I would like to especially thank David as he made sure my family and most importantly my grandmother was well taken care of
