The Studio By Lauren
My hope is to create a safe space to study the practice of yoga that provides deep insight and valuable tools to skillfully move through life. When practiced truthfully and with consistent effort, your yoga practice will become a refuge that can support you from the mat and beyond. I currently offer classes privately in-person, virtually, for corporations, and non-profits.
Services
As a 200 E-RYT and YACEP Yoga Teacher, Lauren's unique approach teaches the key philosophies of yoga to not just do yoga, but more importantly to live yoga. She moves beyond the commercialization of the practice to honor its lineage as a means to connect authentically to yourself and between yourself and others.

Lauren Ikeda is a terrific yoga instructor. We have been using her the past several months and she has helped us tremendously. She has been able to tailor our sessions to our specific needs and explains why we perform certain moves in order to have a better understanding of our mind and bodies. Although we began this endeavor as beginners but she has shown nothing but compassion and patience with our training. Personally I have noticed a marked improvement in mobility and the breathing exercises taught have helped to reduce stress. We are grateful to have Lauren as our instructor and look forward

Lauren is Great! I started working with her about a month ago and she impressed me from the first visit. Lauren is knowledgeable, punctual, and patient. I started with zero experience in yoga and she has worked with me to learn the basics and also help with my pain issues. She customizes the session to fit your abilities and does not provide a one size fits all method. I highly recommend her and look forward to my next session with her.

Lauren Ikeda is a wonderful yoga teacher who is able to customize to her student's levels and needs. Lauren taught yoga as a wellness benefit for our company twice a week and tailored it to "desk yoga" for our teammates, since many of us where glued to our computers for too many hours in a day. She is able to blend mindfulness with her yoga exercises and expertly cues, even through a zoom/webex classroom.

I can not wait until the next yoga class I take with Lauren Ikeda! She is an incredibly talented yoga teacher. She implements yoga exercises, breathework as well meditation! I've taken yoga before but her practice was something new and amazing! I came in with a headache and lower back pain and left her session feeling brand new!!! I have been taking Pilates private lessons for over three years now, but I am basically a beginner at yoga. Well, I am so glad that I found Lauren to be with me on my new yoga journey. I started taking virtual private yoga lessons from her, and overall, Lauren is a great instructor. She is personable, methodical, clear in her instructions, and has a good understanding of how the mat and devices should be placed to optimize our virtual sessions. I was quite amazed when I found great relief for my hip flexors immediately after our 1st lesson when Lauren introduced the yoga tune-up balls. I do enjoy

Lauren's availability for private classes has been a tremendous benefit to me during these stressful times. She combines great knowledge of anatomy and poses to provide customized programs that target specific areas - all delivered in a calm and soothing voice. Her large and growing selection of pre-recorded, on-demand classes is wonderful too. I start most days with one of them.

I start taking classes with Lauren two weeks ago. She is very professional and patient. I love taking her class. My lower back got a lot better after she taught me how to relax my back. Definitely will continuously taking the class.

I started working with Lauren in October 2019 and I was a beginner and was always intimidated by yoga. She helped me by explaining the process and worked with me weekly to get me familiar and comfortable with yoga. I am still getting private lessons from her and I am able to manage my back and sciatic pain. I find myself using the deep breathing whenever I need them. Lauren's techniques are easy to learn and her calming voice and yoga tools help me to learn the art of yoga. I highly recommend her.

Ive been working with Lauren for a couple of months now and Im very pleased with her style of teaching. Lauren keeps you on task and tailors the work to fit your needs and wants. This is exactly what you're looking for in a private instructor otherwise you'd just go to the $10 classes and do your chaturanga-vasana ah ah ahs, right?? :)

Lauren is well studied and very respectful. I highly recommend.

My husband and I attended her yoga retreat in Avila Beach at the Sycamore springs resort. She is a great teacher who took one pose and broke it down so you could learn proper alignment and her nightly yoga sessions were so relaxing I slept so deeply every night. It was great because anyone could do her Yoga from new to experienced. She planned everything from The food daily breakfast and dinner, site, our private spa oasis, daily mineral baths, bike ride to Avila Beach with wine tasting made this trip so enjoyable. Plus she made everyone feel included and gave us plenty of time to do our own

My wife and I started attending classes with Lauren, found out that she offered private in-home lessons, and signed up our six year old daughter for a series of five classes. Our daughter has a wonderful soul but we have been trying to assist her with learning how to calm herself and controlling her body. Lauren came to our house with an incredible children's yoga curriculum and patiently worked with our daughter and a friend over the five sessions. I was very fortunate to find Lauren when I looking for a yoga instructor for personal training to recover from a year of serious illness. She is in tune with my needs and limitations, designing a program that addresses my body. She has a great knowledge of the body and body mechanics, and can adjust exercises and positions to the individual. And she has a quiet patient attention to focusing and the breath that is the basis of yoga and all healing. I would recommend her to anyone seeking special yoga for "body work" (and suspect that she would be great for younger healthier folks

Lauren was recommended to me to help me address aches and pains resulting from my current activities (running, weight lifting, and bicycling), past abuses of my body, and the aging processes. I have been practicing yoga sporadically for years, but now I see how much more beneficial it can be having a yoga teacher, specifically Lauren, who is very knowledgeable and patient. I'm feeling much better, not hurting so much. My flexibility and sense of balance are also improving. I highly recommend her.

Lauren has been working with our 9 year old son for over a year. We started yoga for him due to his hyperactivity and anxiety. She has taught him how to self-soothe and regulate his emotions. He started by being able to only meditate for about 1 minute when they first started but now he is able to meditate each session for over 5 minutes. The school also has said that he tries to use his "yoga breathing" when things get overwhelming for him.

Lauren is the best yoga teacher I have ever met!
Originally I was taking a big class to do yoga in different studio and I ended up to hurt my upper and lower back because I was doing wrong way...Especially if you are beginner of doing yoga, you've better to take private lessons first and learn how to do Yoga correctly. Yoga is supposed to be great exercise, but you could hurt your body badly or won't be able to get any benefits if you do wrong. It is difficult to find a great teacher, but I was soo lucky to meet Lauren since she was very knowledgeable.

Lauren is a great part of our week and we look forward to our private lesson. My wife and I are in our late 50's and with our children going away to college we wanted to see if yoga could improve our flexibility. To our surprise Lauren has shown us the other benefits of core strength, balance, breathing and relaxation training to help during physical and/or mental stress. We love Lauren! My family and I signed up for a package of private yoga classes at our home. Lauren always arrived prepared and on time. She is super knowledgeable with yoga and how all the muscles work together. She explained everything so we could understand. After every session we felt wonderful and relaxed. We recommend her to anybody who wants to become more present with their body and life!

I have known Lauren for many years and absolutely love taking classes by her. She has great energy and a positive spirit throughout the entirety of her class. Even in a large class size, you feel like you're getting individual attention with her gentle adjustments and cues. As a student, you become inspired by her passion and motivated to push yourself to the next level.

Oh and she has an awesome play list! Highly recommend Lauren!
