I took my 8 and 7 year old here for the first time today. My 8 year has a big fear of Dentist (X-rays and the big light mostly) so I was very apprehensive about her going into a appointment alone, but that apprehension was put to ease from the first encounter we had at the front desk. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the 2 ladies in the front, they are so welcoming and inviting that even my kids relaxed and weren't nervous. Then they got called back and not one peep from either child, after the X-rays they had their cleanings and still no crying (that's unheard of for my kids lol). After their cleanings

I highly recommended giving this dental office a try... It’s a very clean, of course kid friendly office the energy in this office is awesome. My 3 children are now new patients here. I was so scared because of our last experience we had with another dental office! The moment you walk in you’re greeted, they actually care to know you’re family, and they made my kids feel so welcome. “Aunty Lei”... mahalo for being so caring, and making my babies feel safe. After leaving they said “I like that aunty”... coming from kids that was so scared to step foot in a dental office for years!

Look no further than Uncle Allen, Aunty Lei and the rest of the staff here! I myself used to be a patient as a kid and I always knew I was in good hands. Now that I have a daughter, there's no other team I trust more than this one to take care of her. If you're looking for a good Dentist for your Keiki, I highly recommend seeing Uncle Allen!

My 3 children were patients here before I worked here. I remember I complimented Dr. Hirai when my daughter asked "when can I come back again?" after having her 1st fillings done at age 4!
I now have personally watched Doc work his magic, that years of experience bring, on children that are so relaxed during a 30 minute appt for fillings that they fall asleep! And we don't use any drugs here. The children's health & safety are our main concerns.

My sons have been seeing Dr. Hirai for a couple of years now and have no fears seeing him or his staff. Matter a fact they enjoy going to the dentist, because they get to pick a treasure/toy of course. Although I was a little hesitant at first, after knowing that we don't get to accompany our boys in the room during their cleanings and procedures, I eventually overcame being hesitant since both boys have always came out feeling good about their visit.

Dr. Allen Hirai and his staff always doing an amazing job every time my kids get seen. They always make them feel comfortable and they are always so caring . I've been with them since 2015 and been satisfied every time . To me finding a great dentist is very important for me as a mother so when I heard about Dr. Allen Hirai office I checked it out and loved it. Although It takes me about 30 mins to drive to the office because I live on the other end it's so worth the drive especially for my kids. I can't thank them enough for taking care of my kids teeth keeping them pearly white

I first met Dr. Hirai when my youngest child age 7, needed some dental work done for his cavity. My son had been to the dentist many times prior, but one particular visit was especially difficult. During the visit he would not stop crying so the dentist was unable to complete a cavity repair. We were then referred next door to a pediatric dentist, Dr. Allen Hirai.

Let's be honest, I dragged out my service with Pediatric Dentistry Kahala for as long as I could. I'm sure lots of people thought I was waiting for my kid as I sat in that waiting room, but I didn't want to leave! I never understood why people hated the dentist when I had these guys.
Uncle Allen and his team are so fantastic at what they do, and they're truly great people. Shout-out to Aunty Lei especially for always making me feel at home and remembering details I mentioned 6 months previous. Uncle Allen - you were always there with a smile and you made me feel at ease.

Love Dr. Hirai and the whole staff! They've helped my daughter get over her fear of the dentist after her first peds dentist was a butcher that capped her baby molars without reason OR consent. My daughter had to have one of those awful capped teeth pulled today because her permanent tooth is pushing through. She wasn't nervous or stressed, no tears. When she was pau, she told me how she "loves Dr Hirai because he doesn't do any work unless I'm totally comfortable and he really cares about his patients." (words from my 9 year old)

Wasn't exactly thrilled with him or his staff growing up. He recommended that I didn't need braces and it would be a waste of time. Going here was absolutely torture. My parents listened to him instead of me, I claimed I was in severe pain, but because of Dr. Hirai's recommendations they wouldn't let me get braces... They finally gave in, every orthodontist I talked with recommended I should get braces (i talked with five orthodontist), and I should pull out teeth. After I notified his receptionist I will not be seeing him, and I would be seeing another dentist, his staff
