Fresh cut flowers are living entities that can be encouraged to last much longer under the right conditions. The following tips will help make your flowers last longer. Flowers drink a lot of water! It is not uncommon for a large flower arrangement to suck up all the water in a vase within the first 1-2 days after receipt.
I don't know about you, but spring flew right by me this year and summer is already almost here. What?! With all that has been happening we missed some of our planting deadlines here at the house. For our family, we decided to do container gardening this year with as many fruits and vegetables as would easily grow in the mix of containers and planters we have and/or bought.

Allison and her team have such a creative energy. Allison spent time understanding my wedding floral vision, even prior to sharing the initial proposal. I realized her passion for her work and serving her clients from that point, and this held true throughout the entire preparation and day-of process. Allison pays great attention to detail, is agile and collaborative in the face of change, and is patient and trustworthy. She and her team absolutely nailed our wedding day florals!! We received so many compliments, and the entire look was better than I could have envisioned. Highly recommend!!

Allison McGeary Florist is the best. They worked with us to create the most beautiful flower arch for our wedding ceremony. It was perfect for our price point, very intimate ceremony, and our own vision. They worked directly with our venue to set up the display, build it, etc. We didn't have to lift a finger for the logistics - which was a great relief. They are great communicators and incredible artisans. I'm so glad we chose Allison McGeary Florist for our wedding.

I cannot recommend Allison McGeary Floral enough! We had a great in-person consultation with Allison when we were looking for a florist for our wedding. Since our wedding was at a botanical garden, we really only needed bouquets for me and my bridesmaids. I expected the bouquets to be lovely, but honestly they blew me away! My orchid bouquet was just gorgeous. I got so many compliments on it, too. Thanks to Allison and her staff for their help in making our wedding day perfect!

Allison made our February wedding the most beautiful party we have ever attended! We didn’t have a clear vision for what we wanted, and she was somehow able to take our random, disjointed ideas and turn them into a candlelit garden wonderland - our jaws just dropped when we entered the room! I researched many florists in Pittsburgh before I chose to work with Allison McGeary. I can confidently say I made the right decision. She’s a creative genius and has the patience of a saint. We just had our wedding at St. Clair Country Club and Allison and her team literally transformed the outdoor and indoor space into a magical scene! Allison was so fantastic to work with; she really listened and we went back and forth until we had exactly what our daughter wanted. That takes patience and creativity. Throughout the night, everyone commented on how gorgeous our arrangements were. We had a fun, slightly whimsical outdoor theme (leopard for our kid's college mascot) and indoor was gorgeous with whites, fuschia and purples. I would highly recommend Allison McGeary and her team!!!
