A native of Oklahoma, David Lorenz came to Ohio to attend college. He began at Wittenberg University; after a couple of years he transferred to the Dayton Art Institute, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in 1975. David is self-employed and has a passion for staying on the cutting edge of digital photography and printing techniques.
He does not consider himself an artist, but rather and engineer who takes pictures. This photo was taken at Caddo Lake Texas in 2011. We had just been swamped by a speed boat. It took awhile to bail out the canoe with a plastic bag. There were quite large alligator prints in the mud, which were concerning.
