Bauer Eyecare is an optometry clinic with certified eye doctors in Colorado Springs. We practice full scope eye care with the latest diagnostic equipment to detect the earliest signs of disease. We offer eye exams, contact lenses, custom lenses and a stylish optical. I have been an Optometrist in Colorado Springs since 2009.
I obtained my BS in biology with minor in chemistry from Northern State University in Aberdeen SD and later attended Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove OR. My main focus is to treat all patients as if they were my neighbor or family member, I do not recommend anything for my patients that I would not recommend for myself.

I've never had an eye doctor spend so much time with me during an appointment as Dr. Bauer. Most other places quickly examine you then rush to get you out of there so they can see the next patient. My contact prescription was difficult to get perfect, but Dr. Bauer let me test several options then thoroughly checked to make sure I had the perfect fit before I left his office.
Update: just had my yearly follow-up and the attention to detail was just as good as my first time. 10/10 would recommend.

I definitely recommend Bauer Eyecare for you eyes! My family and I see Dr. Bauer and his staff and have so for quite a while. He is very thorough and doesn't rush. When we are done, we know we were given the best care in the Springs. His staff is a professional extension of him. I am always greeted upon entry and I have confidence in their abilities. I can't say enough good things about this practice!

I have seen Dr. Ryan Bauer for almost a decade. I will NEVER see another provider for my eye care needs. In fact, I continued seeing Dr. Bauer when my insurance coverage ceased. Dr. Bauer is intentional in knowing each of his clients, and spends as much time as needed to make sure you see perfectly. You will not find this at any other practice! I recommend Bauer Eyecare to everyone! You will not be disappointed.

Dr. And his staff fit my son in quickly and took the time to make him new glasses the same day so he could attend college classes after breaking his glasses on a Sunday evening. By Tuesday, he had new glasses (spare this time too) and didn’t wait “weeks “ for appointment/order of new glasses. His former provider told him he’d have to wait weeks to even get appointment. Obviously, a disaster for college kid who can’t see or drive without glasses. Thankful we have a new eye doctor now!

Dr. Bauer is absolutely the best ophthalmologist that I have ever had. He always listens to what I say and gives maximum effort to provide the best possible outcome. His technical skill is unmatched. He has provided innovative solutions for my difficult problems (and I have some seriously difficult vision problems). He has given me the best vision that I have ever had from anywhere.

I have used Dr. Bauer's services for years. He opened up his own facility now and I have moved along with him. The staff is extremely pleasant and helpful. I will continue to encourage others to try out Dr. Bauer's shop! I never feel rushed or made to make any hasty changes. The new shop is lovely and clean. You should give them a try!

I am extremely impressed with Dr Bauer and his practice. They are considerate, efficient, and intelligent. Frankly what impresses me most though is their integrity and follow through. One of my frames dropped and broke, and they were able to replace both the frames and the lenses in record time. Even following up via text to make sure that I was aware of everything going on.

Dr. Bauer and staff were fantastic. I had been going to ABBA for the past 6 years and decided to go with someone that has their own office closer to home. I felt like my daughter and I were valued and taken care of from start to finish. The office was clean and comfortable. They made it a fun experience for my daughter as well. Dr. Bauer was very knowledgable and set us up with what we needed to get our eyes back in shape.
