Life is a journey filled with lessons, hardships, heartaches, joys, celebrations and special moments that will ultimately lead us to our destination, our purpose in life. The road will not always be smooth; in fact, throughout our travels, we will encounter many challenges. Some of these challenges will test our courage, strengths, weaknesses, and faith.
Along the way we may stumble upon obstacles on our paths that lead us to peace and harmony. In order to follow our desirable path, we must overcome these obstacles. At Compasstree, our team of professional counselors are here to help you identify and navigate these obstacles. The word COMPASS, in our name, represents the tool used for navigation.

In life, we are constantly facing new challenges and we may feel stuck again and we may need to revisit this process again from time to time. I graduated from Texas Tech University, in 2007, with a Doctorate of Philosophy Ph. D. in Marriage and Family Therapy, attended the University of Eastern New Mexico, and earned a Masters of Arts in Counseling Psychology, in 1997, and a Bachelors of Science in Psychology & Religion, 1994.
Whether you are struggling with Grief, Depression, Anxiety, or normal life changes, we could all use a compass to navigate our way. It would be my honor to be that part of your journey and together overcome the difficulties that life can present. To achieve this, I believe that therapy works best when it is tailored to the personality and the individual needs of each client.
You so often feel like you're the only one in the room who just doesn't have it all together. Our culture gives the message that you need to do it all, be it all, and have it all as an individual, spouse, parent. Now you're left with feelings of inadequacy and overwhelm. You browse the books that are supposed to give you the answers, but it seems like every piece of advice just contradicts the last one!
Help4Helpers offers free weekly support groups for professionals in human services. Groups meet on Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. Space is limited so do not delay your registration for a group. We could all use a little self-compassion to help us find relief from the world's message that we should be effortlessly-perfect all the time.
