Ed Varga, the owner/operator, started iPhone Repair SF in 2011. I built the business with a commitment to quality work and exceptional customer service. I trained to be a cell phone technician at Wild PCS training center and has 10 years of experience repairing iPhones. I know how important your phone is to your everyday life so I work quickly to get your phone repaired so you can get on with your day.
We are often able to diagnose issues over the phone and give you options and pricing, 99% of the time we do not need to see a device to do this. If you bring in a dead phone that shows no signs of life or an odd issue that we have to open the phone up for, there is a $60 charge to do an in-person diagnostic.
Your phone is an electric device, one that is powered by a battery. As you probably know water and electricity don't mix well. Getting any electrical device wet can cause it to short out. So if your phone didn't turn itself off, turn it off and leave it off. Submerged phones are often wet inside for up to 48 hours so don't turn it back on.
You will be getting a new display with your screen repair. Displays can vary in color and brightness. We perform quality checks to make sure your new display is bright and that the color is as close to neutral as possible. Please keep in mind that it may not look EXACTLY like your original screen. If you have concerns about how the new display looks, please ask us to show you the new screen and display before we install it.

I thought the service was good (replaced cracked screen and battery in about 30 mins). But 5 days later my screen cracked -- not having been dropped, only having been in my purse, and set down on a table. I attempted to schedule a follow up appointment and indicated that the screen must have been defective or installed incorrectly. But Ed refused to take my appointment, would not even see me to discuss what may have caused the issue, and called me a bully. Don't waste your time or money - you'd be better off going right to apple and paying a little more for peace of mind and better quality

My experience with Ed Varga, owner of iPhoneRepairSF was great. I call around 2 PM Friday 10/9/2020. I mentioned to Ed, that I crack my iPhone 7 Plus screen and ask if I can bring in for repair. Ed said repair is done by appointment only. He squeezed me in on same day at 5 PM. When to his business location. Ed look at the phone , did a complete check on my phone. He discovered back camera has a crack and also recommend to replace the battery. He faces me the cost estimate. I left my phone with Ed for minutes. I came back and it is done. It is like new again. Over the pbone I was quoted $80 to have my iphone 7 screen fixed. So I drive over and after speaking with the man face to face he tells me it will be $100 😡😡so i politely remind him of the telephone conversation we previously had, he tells me that he remembers exactly what he said & blah blah blah I remain calm and hand over my phone as i am in desperate need to have my phone fixed. Yet I am a firm believer in reviews so take this as a warning DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE!! RUDE AND EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.

Having your phone break during covid is really scary. I'm klutz who broke her phone twice during this Pandemic so far and this place was the first time, the first being a broken screen where everything went completely black, and the second being the bottom half of the screen suddenly not responding to touch. Both times he was really patient and talked through all parts of the repair process and had the phone working again really soon (within an hour or so?). Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

My iPhone 8 got seriously wet because I'm a fool who plays shower DJ often (but no more). Well, the last encounter gave my phone a conniption fit. I took it to Ed who was clear about what I should do and what they might be able to fix. Ed and his team were able to dry and clean everything out returning the phone to full working order. Ed was also super accommodating on pickup, which was less than a day. Though with water damage fate is truly random at best, I'm really grateful I could turn to iPhone Repair SF for help! Cheers!

Ed was super patient with me while I made up my mind on the spot about getting my iphone xs camera repaired. He had emailed me in advance to let me know that my back screen could crack from the pressure of pushing out the camera but I didn't really understand what he meant until I got to his office. We discussed a few options and I decided to go home and think about it. Which I still am. The reason why I am giving Ed 5 Stars is because he was very responsive, I made a 30 min. appt, and he was great at giving me several options and was very honest about them all. Which I truly appreciate.

My iPhone screen went black (even though the phone itself was still working) and I was very concerned since this happened while during the COVID Lockdown. Luckily Ed was still open for business by appointment, and I took a chance given the very high yelp reviews and praises.
Ed lived up the hype - very professional, extremely responsive, and great customer service. I would highly recommend his service!

I had a bit of trouble finding the place, but it's next to the supermarket toward mission st and across from Wells Fargo. They have a "beware of dog" sign on the outside. You ring #1 and you will be let in, and then you must go to 208 on the second floor.
I called the shop at 3:00PM, they told me to come in at 4:30PM and I was able to get my phone fixed in around 30-45 MINS.
The issue with my phone was that everything was working except the display and maybe the touch ability of the screen. I was unable to turn off an alarm BECAUSE I didn't have the display

I've been to these guys a couple of times for my iPhone disasters. They are really fast and reasonably priced. Way easier than dealing with Apple. They know their sh*t too. They are the real geniuses. They've given me a ton of great/free advice and information. They are very transparent about pricing and the quality of parts available. They have an easy to use website that lists all their prices and you can schedule an appointment there as well.

Ed is super fast and does good work. He took the time to explain how the repair process works and what to expect from my replacement screen and battery. It turned out that my replacement battery (for an old iPhone SE) was faulty, so he swapped it out again for no extra charge. Can happily recommend.

I had recently made the decision to purchase an iPhone 8 plus from a seller on swappa.com, and when it arrived it looked to be in excellent condition as described. However, much to my dismay, I soon discovered that there was a problem.
Although the physical condition of the device was flawless, and the installation was swift and all Apps functioned correctly, I soon discovered a worrying issue: upon trying to play audio through my earbuds, the device would not sense the 3.5mm adapter I was using, so sound would only come from the speakers.

Great service! I thought I cracked my iPhone screen but it turns out that only my glass protector for the glass screen was cracked! Saved me hundreds of dollars! I purchased another glass screen protector and a case he recommended; a (not some cheap under researched and under developed) case where the "lip" at the edge of the iPhone is more protected that can withstand more of an impact. Highly recommend parking in the lot across the street for $3/hr if you could afford it.

Was driving across town to a repair shop when the traffic was so heavy I just decided to google something closer and found this place.
Called at 5.30pm and made a very last minute appointment to get my iphone 8 plus screen replaced.
30 mins and $110 later (including screen protector) Ed, the owner, had sorted me out.
He told me on the phone when I called that he plans to shut up shop a little early so didnt really have time for another appointment - I did a little bit of begging / arm twisting and he agreed to see me.
Nice guy, fast service, and competitive pricing.

I'm so incredibly upset right now... rushed over to this place to repair a cracked screen yesterday before they closed and now my phone doesn't charge. It hasn't charged at all on any outlet or usb port since they "fixed" it and just makes a strange high pitched noise when I try to charge it. its basically bricked now when it was usable before and im so angry and upset that I wasted all that time and money to have someone break my phone. really heartbroken about this, and they are closed today and tomorrow. this has ruined my entire weekend

I can't recommend reaching out to Ed at iPhone Repair SF enough! The website is super clear to obtain a quote on your issue and the model and schedule an appointment, but if you're like me and need to ask for additional info Ed gets back to you super quick.
The battery on my iPhone 6 was pooping out (power failures, not charging all the way, etc...) so I reached out to Ed and he installed a new battery, while doing a full diagnostic check up. Thank you!!! Came in about a week ago for a replacement screen on an iPhone 8. Quick easy service and well priced. About a week later the screen went black, it was defective (to NO fault of theirs - just my bad luck). Last thing I needed after a very stressful day. I reached out and D was very responsive and friendly. Brought the phone back in and D replaced it under warranty (no charge!) and so quick!

Really helpful staff. Went in with my broken iPhone 7+ screen and was given 2 options. I went with the most economical which is 75$ and the results are great, no complaints. My phone works perfectly fine and come with warranty in case of any mishap. They even threw in a free glass protector. I am sure to recommend this place to anyone.

Firstly, no idea where you're getting blacklist information from. Your tech didn't touch but one phone that was actually on and functioning perfectly fine through my carrier, and even then only for a brief moment to examine the screen. My second phone appeared to be off because the LCD was completely busted and the last time I charged it, it turned on without showing color. I left it charged for hours before going there. So don't lie or lie via a proxy employee to save face. More disgust.

These guys were super nice and they gave me an extra discount when they heard I couldn't afford the full LCD repair (compared to the cheaper glass repair on my iPhone). Customer service here is ideal, their office wasn't the easiest to find but its very quiet indoors and they don't mind you waiting there for your phone while it's being fixed. I'll be recommending these guys to my friends!
