Blair Post has been helping the hearing impaired and fitting hearing aids for over 23 years in the Venice area.
Beginning with a conversation to ensure your comfort and understand your goals for hearing well in your lifestyle. Then an inspection of the ear canal followed by an air test, how well you hear tones through the aid, bone test, how well your cochlea is perceiving tones, and a speech discrimination test, how well you understand the vowel and consonant combination.

Hearing devices come in several styles from the invisible Completely-in-the-Canal (CIC) to the more powerful Behind-the-Ear (BTE) aids. I bought my hearing aids at a discount business because they were a lot cheaper than thru an independent audiologist. They gave me a hearing test and set up my hearing aids. I was not satisficed, so I changed to another brand. They were better, but I was still having problems. After years of repeated adjustments, I finally went to Contemporary Hearing. WOW, what a difference. In one visit Blair was able to completely change my hearing experience. It was not the hearing aids, but the lack of expertise in adjusting them that was the problem. I don't need the captions on the TV any longer, and I have

The week I have worn my hearing aids have been such a pleasure. The things I don't struggle to hear are many. The voices of my daughter and Granddaughter in a busy and loud restaurant, and to be able to hear the waiter. All a new experience. I no longer become nervous when I have to make a phone call. Trying to hear on the phone was so hard. I was avoiding talking to people. They probably thought I was unfriendly. It was the embarrassment of not being able to hear. I no longer feel that way. Contemporary Hearing is owned by Blair Post. He goes out of his way to serve your hearing aid needs. If you have any problems/questions he makes time for you. He has even made house calls to help with installation of equipment. His wife, Karen and his son Adam are also in the office and extremely nice people. We would recommend Contemporary Hearing to everyone!

My husband Robert was experiencing problems with his hearing aid and consulted with audiologist Blair Post who had the expertise and commitment to results to correct all the problems and issues! Highly recommended! He persisted with working on the needed updates when though my hearing aids resisted the upgrades.

I was in Florida on vacation and one of my hearing aids stopped working. Visiting my friends in North Port I went on the web and googled Oticon hearing aids dealer near me. Contemporary Hearing appeared as the closest dealer, I gave them a call and spoke with Blair. After explaining my dilemma he told me to come on in at noon the same day. Upon looking at my hearing aid Blair knew exactly what was wrong, he fixed the hearing.
Blair took the time to advise me how the break in the wire occurred, replaced it under warranty and sent me on my way. He is a professional and I wish I could find a Audiologist

I took my 98 year old father to Contemporary Hearing to have his hearing aids re-programmed. He worked with Blair, who was most professional & friendly. He did many tests, including a hearing test. He took the aids apart, cleaned them & fixed the wire on one of them. My dad could hear so much better. Blair, & his wife Karen, are the best! I highly recommend Contemporary Hearing!
