Forming Early Eating Decisions (FEED) was founded in 2008 in Chicago by Registered Dietitian Lara Field, while in clinical practice at the University of Chicago Medical Center's Comer Children's Hospital. Years later, FEED grew to become FEED Nutrition Consulting, but the mission remains the same. To find food lifestyle changes that work for you, we meet with you, we ask the right questions and we listen.
Without judgment - to understand your unique situation, tastes, traditions and time limitations. Then, we work with you to gently adjust or radically improve your everyday eating habits or allow you to manage food allergies or medical issues while still enjoying eating.

Services
We are proud to provide nutrition counseling services with the goal of creating nutrition solutions that work for your lifestyle. Each of our expert dietitians understands that a one-size-fits-all solution doesn't work when it comes to changing life-long habits. We take the time to get to know you personally, then develop a nutrition plan that will work for you.
FEED Nutrition Consulting offers customized solutions for real people with unique needs. As such, our pricing is not pre-set, but rather determined and mutually agreed upon in the initial phone call or email exchange you have with us so that we can better understand your concerns. Payment is due at the time of service.

Kristin Houts from Feed Nutrition is amazing! She came to my school to teach a class on nutrition. She has a wealth of information from general health and nutrition to specific dietary conditions and medical conditions. She was engaging, funny and informative. She has many ideas that span a variety of needs and budgets. She covered all of my student's questions from healthy portions, diabetes management, gluten allergies and how to make healthy food delicious. She even brought healthy samples for them to try.

Amanda is hands down the best dietitian I have ever worked with. Having been an athlete for most of my life, I have seen many many nutrition professionals, and none of my work with them ever stuck. I have been seeing Amanda for about a year now, and the changes I have seen and felt are amazing. Amanda is all about mindfulness when eating, and will always help you feel empowered around your choices. She has helped me completely change my eating habits, and I am eternally grateful for her guidance and support. If you are ready to make a healthy life change, she should be your first step!

Our pre-school recently used dietician, Lara Field, to review & make healthy changes to our school lunch menu. I tried a few of her suggestions at home (ex: make your own pizza on a whole wheat english muffin) and was shocked when my extremely picky 4.5 yr old ate it. From there I booked an appointment with Lara with the hopes that she'd give me some more healthy suggestions of what to feed Miss Picky and mealtimes would stop becoming a battle.
Since our first meeting over a month ago I've used so many of her meal and snack suggestions and am so pleased w/ the way my kids are eating

I have Celiac disease and a severe dairy allergy. Lara helped me discover some great GF brands and she even gave some recipes to me to make. She values nutritional content but also attempts to find yummy food that fits the requirements. In addition she helps inspire post-workout meals, after-school snacks and fast breakfast ideas.

Super friendly, super nice, super informed! I met Lara at a time in my life when i was dealing with so many health issues that i didn't know where to start first. she helped me navigate my numerous issues while helping me feel that i wouldn't have to give up on all the things i love to eat. To this day i still go back to our emails and review many of the ideas that she had for me, as well as look at the schedules that she made for me. I feel like she taught me food skills for life
