Learning Central Preschool is a quality rated STAR 4 childcare center located in West Philadelphia near the University of Pennsylvania. Since 2016, families have partnered with our dedicated teachers and administrators to provide an excellent foundation for their children before they enter into primary school.
A passion for children, diversity, and an inclusive familial environment are hallmarks of our center. Our classrooms are designed to enhance learning through a multitude of educational activities focusing on the specific interests of the children. We value what makes them unique, and we work to foster self-confidence, independent thinking, compassion for others, and an insatiable curiosity for the world around them.

Services
We provide high quality individualized childcare services. We believe parents are the first teacher and we offer workshops, materials and support services to families, in conjunction with family service agencies, to aid in the development of their children. With this assistance, parents become an integral partner in their child's education.
Our teachers are professionals with degrees and certifications in Early Childhood Education ranging from Master's, Bachelor's, and Associates degrees to Certified Child Development Associates. Our pre-school program partners with PreK Counts, and the Mayor's Office of Philadelphia to provide free childcare for children ages 3 to 5.
Every employee must have a current criminal record check, child abuse clearance, FBI clearance and an updated health screening with TB test results, relevant work experience and at least two written references from a previous employer. Learning Central Preschool seeks to recruit quality staff members who value and care for children.
Learning Central is a 4 Star Facility, the highest rating of Keystone STARS in the state of Pennsylvania. Keystone STARS is a program of Pennsylvania's Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL). To recognize programs for continuous quality improvement and meeting higher quality standards.
Learning Central Preschool follows guidelines of the U.S. Department of Agriculture Food and Nutrition Service Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Information can be found here. Classroom 1 teacher has been the most outstanding perfessonal teacher I've met. We have tried many programs for our children and this has been the best fit. Not only does she challenge the kids but she loves them as her own. Shes able to answer every question regarding the program as well as the office staff. I highly recommend their preschool program for your children.
