At PlayTogether NYC, we celebrate the joy of learning and maturing through play! We believe that small class sizes, individual attention, a rich varied curriculum, and commitment to group play are the best ways to help our 3s and 4s develop social skills, social learning, and analytical reasoning. We have a high teacher-student ratio, two teachers in the 3s class, two teachers in the 4s program.
We work with each child individually, as well as in classes and smaller groups, to further develop skills and mirror real life. Services
The importance of play-based learning cannot be underestimated. Children use play to explore and practice a wide-variety of skills. We can best describe this through an example of children playing with blocks. Within block play, children are learning math skills as well as practicing social skills and a wide variety of language, reasoning, and gross-motor skills.

PlayTogether was one of the first schools I toured. As I wanted to make sure I did my due diligence on the most appropriate school for my son, I then toured approximately 15 other UWS schools. What a waste of time. I compared every school that I visited to PlayTogether. I wanted a school that was nurturing, had a terrific teacher-student ratio, provided a safe environment, believed every kid is gifted in his own way, and fostered a love of learning and discovery. PlayTogether represented everything that I was looking for in a preschool for my son and more so. PlayTogether is one of the best

Both of my children have attended PlayTogether for over 3 years. We have been so happy to find this school. We were referred to this school by friends and have loved our experience.
Nyla and all teachers are kind and very talented. My sons have excelled here and love going to school each day.
It's unusual to find a preschool that offers affordable, part day program. Nyla is aware of each child's personality, strengths & weaknesses. They are able to accommodate the needs of the classroom, all while helping the children to grow and learn.

First learned about this preschool when my wife saw the children from Play Together on one of their outings at a Riverside park playground. My wife was so impressed by the well-behaved children and by the way the teachers comported themselves that she asked one of the teachers what preschool this was. After visiting the school and meeting Nyla and the other teachers, we decided to enroll our 3 y/o son there. It's been six months now and our son loves it and is really comfortable in the "creative play" environment. Most telling is the fact that he really looks forward to going to school every day

I feel so fortunate to have found this little gem of a preschool. Nyla and her staff have (what I think) is an unusual passion for teaching young children. My husband and I talk about Nyla as "The Children Whisperer". I don't think we would have had a such wonderful first preschool experience for our rambunctious 3 year old daughter if it weren't for this great place. I could not recommend it enough.

My 3 year old loves it! Nyla and Lena are attentive and compassionate. The days are structured with learning, interaction and fun things for the children to do. They send out a weekly newsletter to inform parents about the week's events and give daily reports about your child's progress. They take the time to get to know each child and their personality. The space is clean and organized! I feel safe leaving my son, knowing he is in good hands.

My 3 year old daughter is thriving at PlayTogether and we couldn't be happier with the care she is receiving. The student - teacher ratio is one of the benefits of this preschool. I recently had the opportunity to observe her teachers in action one morning and marveled at their skills. Not only are the five teachers in synch with one another, but they have a keen awareness of each child's distinctive needs and can offer individualized attention. I cannot praise this Preschool highly enough. The director, Nyla is very experienced in many aspects of child care and is passionate about giving each child the best experience in Preschool. My son is on the Autism Spectrum and he was welcomed with open arms by all the staff. Each child is given individual attention and encouraged to experiment with art, dance, music and play. They cater for different age groups and teach colors, numbers etc - all in a warm, accepting and fun environment. A lovely experience.
