This place is the worst! They do not respect the community that lives around them. They play excessive music all nights of the week. They refuse to turn down the music even after the police ask 3+ times.

Really lovely and fun place to hang out with family and /or friends. Had the typical Venezuelan Chinese style fried rice and it was a great portion and delicious taste for 12.99. The decoration is spot on, the ambiance is really nice with food music inside the restaurant as well outside. Loved the Piña Colada and the barrooms are very big and clean. Good experience.

Yikes!! We got food poisoning from here!! Please do not go here! We tried several things from the menu and the service was very slow. Tasted a bit funny; should have known. And the drinks were expensive. Also, other customers there looked shady. Just sayin. Looks like this place is slowly becoming a dump.

Great venue, price is ok, service is quite a mess, despite the waitress have certain tables, they get lost and they seem to pass over the orders, they request a card to open an account but sometimes they dont let you know and if you ask for something and you dont have an account (because you dont know the system) they just leave you waiting...

Cancel our reservation 24 hours the event. Very disrespectful for customers. We have to figure it out on the way. This is not the way to treat clients. The excuse? They want to watch Astros game instead of fulfill their commitment. I will never recommend this place for friends.

The food is tasteless, overpriced, and small portions to what it is. Venezuelan food is characterized to be delicious and flavorful and well-served plates. Not a restaurant to visit twice.

A place to share and remember good things about Venezuela. Wide selection of spirits and cocktails. Arepas, tequeños, sancochos, fried snappers, venezuelan fried chinese rice (.. !!!!) and many others other things you have to try... Excellent staff. 100% Recommended.

This place has a good atmosphere, food is good, alcoholic drinks with fruit flavor were good and strong. The waiter “Stanley” was amazing, he explained everything in detail, gave us good recommendation and advised us of items that will be in special in during the week. We enjoy playing games and the music was very nice.

Tall skinny guy charged me over $100 for 5 small margaritas... we sat in the enclosed patio and could barely hear each other talk every time the door opened to the inside. Music was way too loud. Drinks weren't even good.

The employees were polite and very good at there jobs the Dj that was on before the main Dj was good but the environment as far as culture wise wasn't very friendly. I would like to explain what I mean. I'm black and the vibe I got from most of the people inside was I wasn't suppose to be there. We as people especially minorities have to stick together and uplift each other not hold each other down. As a retired Marines this was the reason for our sacrifice in the military through peace and war for us to become one and appreciate each other's culture. But all together it

Went to try out their food and drinks, had the worst service ever! Wife and I ordered our first drink, it took 20 minutes when the waiter brought out one of the drinks & she informed us they could not make the second drink. We then ordered appetizers/food, it took 30 minutes for the food to come, along with the second drink. After over an hour there, we had only seen the waiter 4 times total and never received our appetizers or had a chance to order another drink. We asked for the check and it took another 15 minutes or them to take off the item that was never delivered.

No better place in Houston to experience Latin Culture. They have a great staff. Unfortunately, the owners and managers don't pay taxes and steal the tips from employees. Make sure to tip your servers and bartenders, because they do a lot for the guest, but get abused by the ownership!

I don't understand why people can be not nice and not kind enough to write such bad reviews for this place: in my opinion is the best bar in Katy and is giving you the opportunity to ive the "Venezuelan experience " in Houston, the owners are trying so hard to make it better every day, they go table by table asking questions to see how they can i.,

This place is horrible! I am a long time user of Yelp but have never post before, however this place was so bad I felt compelled to write a review. I went into this place not expecting much as its harder to find quality Venezuelan food compared to Florida where I live 6months a year.

If I could give a worse score I would.

Cons:
-Very noise atmosphere inside
-The "Terraza" is supposedly reserved for large party's but I guess my 8 person group (plus kid and a pregnant wife) did not qualify.
-Seating is uncomfortable
-The $24 "Parrilla" was cold and completely subpar.

Poor service and priced high for what it is.
My food was brought out in parts rather than as a complete order when I asked the waiter why, he said because it would get cold in the back. So part of my meal came out and about 8 min later the other parts came out.
When I arrived, I was told take a seat and then watched wait staff walk by me for about 10 min before anyone asked if I wanted something to drink.
Maybe its a much better bar than it is a restaurant. I will would not recommend this as a place to go eat.

Absolutely horrible. I live in the neighborhood behind this place and they set up a full blown concert that went on for over five hours at full volume. So incredibly inconsiderate to the families that live so close and deserve some peace in their homes. I hope this establishment is shut down. I will be informing the TABC to keep a close eye on this one. Unacceptable.

If you are looking for a bar and grill with a relaxed atmosphere and you enjoy authentic Venezuelan cuisine, then stop by Shevere in Katy, Texas. It's easy access near the intersection of I-10 and the Grand Parkway (99).

The arepas are excellent, and they are offered with a variety of toppings. Quese de mano is my favorite. They also have a variety of cachapas, yuca, tostones, chimichurri and many more South American dishes. For the complete menu see http://sheverebar.com/ . Shevere serves all three meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Shevere also has a full bar that serves most mixed

I had very high expectations for this place. Unfortunately, I've given it 3 tries and it is just very disappointing. The menu is extremely expensive. The waiters try to provide a decent service, they are nice and young, but they messed up our order not once but three times. The menu is also very expensive for the location. You can find way better bars and restaurants in the area. If you are Venezuelan, do not bring your family and friends here. You won't look good.

I have tried just a few tequeños and cachapas and they are just barely decent.

Even though service is quite decent they DO charge a 15% " rounding adjustments " for service fee during Thursday Friday and Saturday.

So if you are adding any gratuity during those days , yes, you are actually tipping on top of top you have been charged already.

Came for Cinco de mayo. The flyer said the live music would start at 8pm, it didn't start until 10ish. Music was ok, service was actually really great, they were just super understaffed. They don't have fountain drinks only canned which is unfortunate if you're use to free refills. We ordered the Parilla which is their most expensive plate $19. We were pretty hungry and figured we were willing to pay a little more for food thinking it'd be a bigger plate. Boy were we wrong. That has to be the smallest parilla I've ever gotten at a restaurant especially for such a high price

We went to see our friend, Alexis Pena in concert yesterday. He was amazing. In addition, the service, the food, and the atmosphere were outstanding. We will definitely be back soon. The only thing that wasn't perfect was my margarita as it tasted too salty. Thanks for a great evening!
