From the moment Maya showed up she was punctual and so sweet! I had her meet my (future) mother in law at the time so we could all get ready, and she was already setting up by the time I got there (I was running late because I got a little lost on my way to the hotel). As you can imagine, wedding day is nerve racking and timing is especially important in the morning - if we're late on makeup/hair, the whole timeline gets pushed. Maya planned makeup/hair perfectly for myself (the bride), my maid of honor, and my mother in law. She made sure we were happy with how we looked and made me feel so comfortable

We found Maya through a fellow MUA who recommended her for my wedding. From moment one Maya was great to work with! Her responses were timely and she laid everything out there in a clear and concise manner. I gave her my details and she worked with me to create the best option that suited me and my family.

I received a referral from a friend for her hair services and I am so glad I did. She was able to accommodate two bridal hair trials at my home within a very short amount of time before my wedding day. Each time she arrived promptly with her hairstylist case in hand and a beautiful smile on her face. I was so happy with the results, I hired her to do my hair as well as my Mom and sister’s hair on my wedding day.
On the day of my wedding, I was blown away by her attention to detail. Every hair was perfectly placed and pinned into a beautiful chignon

Maya is a magic worker! She did my make-up for my wedding, including the bridal party and moms. Maya is extremely professional and an excellent communicator throughout the whole planning process (such a lifesaver). Absolutely amazing!! Maya is so talented. I cannot say enough good things about her. On my wedding day, Maya was punctual, professional, and an absolute joy to work with. I am so scatter brained, especially when it came to planning my big day and she was always quick to respond and guide me through the entire process. Absolutely loved working with Maya. I have modeling experience so I knew I wanted someone that knows how to do makeup and have it look good in photoshoots and weddings. I had a fantastic experience working with Maya for my wedding (hair and makeup) and would highly recommend her. Like many of the other reviewers, I don't normally wear much makeup and when I've had my hair and makeup done at friends' weddings, I always ended up feeling very self-conscious and not myself. I had the opposite experience with Maya. I attribute this not only to the trial run but also to her incremental, thoughtful approach. She checked in frequently with me to make sure I was okay with the amount of eye shadow, liner, etc. and she really listened when I requested adjustments

My original makeup artist canceled on me two weeks before my wedding which sent me scrambling for a replacement. I emailed several artists including Maya and she was quick to respond. I was excited to hear that not only was she available but her prices were VERY reasonable! (Most were either already booked or WAY out of my budget!) I've never had my makeup done professionally before and she answered all my questions about her products and techniques. My biggest concern was staying power. We were doing a "first look" at 10:30 that morning and the wedding wasn't until 4:30 so

I loved working with Maya for my wedding this past June! I immediately liked her when she came to my apartment for our makeup trial (and by the way, she made that whole process incredibly easy!). She is sweet, kind, knowledgeable, and her work is absolutely beautiful. Wearing more than face powder and mascara typically makes me very nervous, but I instantly fell in love with her application and eye for color. It was very easy in choosing her to be the makeup artist for my special day.

Maya did my makeup on two occasions while I was in California, once for an outdoor wedding in SF (which turned out to be a surprisingly warm day), and again for a holiday event last December.
I was incredibly impressed with her work for the wedding I attended. She did airbrush foundation and a natural makeup look and despite the heat, the makeup stayed and looked flawless all day. I was very surprised as within a few hours of doing my own makeup, I always have to reapply but on this occasion I was able to go all day without worrying about it! Her kit was immaculate and clean with fantastic products

I'm not super savvy with makeup, so I didn't have a clear vision of what I wanted done that night. Maya was helpful guiding me to a look by talking through my outfit and other looks that I've liked.
Maya was great at communicating throughout the process and checked in with me at various points to make sure I was happy with the look. She is patient with her work, and took time to make sure lines were straight and clean.
In general, I was impressed with Maya

Maya did my hair and makeup for a friend's wedding a few months back. I'm extremely picky when it comes to the details, and Maya was great at accommodating my suggestions and did a great job overall! She did airbrush foundation, which made my skin look flawless, and a really nice smokey cat eye. Makeup and hair stayed put all day! And plus she had a lot of nice products and tips on how I could recreate the look myself. I'd definitely recommend her!
