Birthday dinner with my wife. There was no greeting as we entered. Our Escarole and bean soup and salads were very good. Entrees of Halibut and Chicken Pizzaiola were most disappointing--very little flavor and quite bland. The restaurant was very busy on a Sunday night and we wondered why. Were the other diners eating similar food as ours? There was never an inquiry from our server about each course, and never any kind of exchange, whatsoever, as we left. The most disappointing restaurant we've experienced in quite some time. I wonder how accurate are some of the reviews I see here.

This is one of the best restaurants anywhere. I have eaten there countless times and never had a bad meal. The consistent quality is remarkable.
The service is great. Most of the wait staff have been there for years. The place is always clean.
Mario is always checking the dining room to make sure everything is right. This is the way a restaurant should be run.

Food was good, however they rush you out the door. We went on a Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. If you want to spend a relaxing evening without being rushed out the door I would go somewhere else. I won't be going back there. The waiter was rude to our party. We were there 2 hours and wanted to have one last after dinner drink and he waved his arms for us to leave and there were two empty tables and no one waiting to be seated. We also spent a good amount of money there.
