Whether you're a new patient, existing patient with a new issue, or a postoperative patient - Weight bearing x-rays are very important in understanding the complexities of the foot and ankle. We use the 20/20 Imaging HF PXS-710 system combined with Opal-RAD software. This platform allows us to take x-rays with a patient standing and placing pressure onto the foot and ankle.

Several friends of mine go to see Dr. Shine as their podiatrist and they highly recommended him to me. Setting up an appointment was easy and I was able to see him the same week that I made the appointment. He described what was going on with me and he went over my recovery plan for my issue. Was easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I made up a follow up appointment in two weeks to make sure that I am on the right track with my recovery. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Shine and his medical team and staff too, they were great as well.

Today I had the final check-up on my right foot after bunion surgery performed by Dr. Shine John in October of 2019. My foot has healed up very well as evidence by the final X-rays, and I am able to walk again for long periods of time without any pain. I was impressed with Dr. John's knowledge and competence in performing this type of surgery. Additionally, while I was being prepped for surgery, the assisting medical staff frequently commented how much they enjoyed working with Dr. John which says a lot about his character. I would highly recommend Dr. John to anyone who needs foot

I had been haveing foot problems and was looking for a specialist. I had already gone to a couple with no results. Dr John reached out personally to give some insight. I decide to schedule a visit and the rest is history. Dr John was patient and exhausted all options but ultimately surgery was necessary. I understood and knew full what to expect. Amazing service. He is very thorough when explaining ALL options. I ended up having a ganglion cyst removed from the top of my foot and the surgery went perfect! The scar looks hardly noticeable and the recovery was super quick. His entire staff was great to work with! Casey is very knowledgeable and helpful with any questions. I would definitely recommend Dr. John and his team for any foot issues!!!

Dr. John and his staff are top notch. My ankle had been in chronic pain with swelling for years. The reconstructive surgery he performed has worked wonders. The process from pre-surgery to surgery to physical therapy went just as he described including the tough parts, so I was prepared for all the challenges I faced making it less overwhelming. My ankle hasn’t felt this good in decades!
He and his staff are professional while being warm and courteous. I highly recommend them.

I lived with pain in my feet and toes for years due to previous surgeries. I then saw Dr. Shine John. He was able to perform surgery on my left foot with the new Cartiva implant and that foot is doing great. He also performed corrective surgery on my right big toe which required a bone implant. My recovery has gone well and I am able to walk without pain. I am very happy that I reached out to Dr. John and would recommend him to anyone having foot issues.

I highly recommend Dr. John!! When I moved to Austin I was in need of a podiatrist. Well I fell into the right hands. He has improved my foot and lessened my pain over the years. We discussed healthier ways to treat my feet. I have been getting PRP injections from him which have changed my life, but can be painful for me to get. He recently recommended VIAFLOW. It wasn’t painful at all. He explained all that was involved and what results I should see. He is knowledgeable, he listens to all your concerns and is one of the nicest physicians I have been to.. I will not let anyone else touch my feet
