Platform Pilates
After 10 years of teaching in various studios, fitness centers and doctor's offices, I wanted to create a space that felt like a second home to everyone that walked in the door and build a team that you would want to have a coffee with. Since opening our doors in 2019, we've had the privilege of getting to know so many amazing clients and be a part of their wellness journey.

Services
Platform Pilates was founded by the desire to help people find more movement and reduce pain in their bodies. Whether you are training for a triathlon or recovering from an injury, our team's goal is to help you gain more strength, flexibility and stability to give you more mobility. All of our instructors have the experience and the passion to help you move through space more efficiently.
Amanda has been teaching Pilates in Chicago for 12 years as a STOTT PILATES certified instructor. Upon graduating from Columbia College Chicago with a BA in Dance, she received her comprehensive Pilates training including Injuries and Special Populations training from Vered Arbel at Elements In Motion in Chicago.
2. Reformer straps now have vinyl coverings to allow for proper disinfecting between clients. All clients and staff are instructed to wash their hands in the bathroom or use provided sanitizer upon entry. All clients are instructed to arrive no more than 5 minutes before their start time and leave promptly after their session.

I've taken Pilates for close to 20 years and have had some excellent instructors, however, my highest recommendations go to Jacqueline Stewart at Platform Pilates. Jackie has been an athlete all her life. She has a Fine Arts Degree in Dance and is a professional ballerina. As a result, her knowledge of anatomy is outstanding. Jackie tailors her instructions and her sessions to the physical needs of each of her students and is an invaluable resource when issues arise. If you walk in with a cramp, an injury, or a problem, big or small, she knows exactly how to address it. Jackie is unfailingly

I have been coming to platform twice a week for about 9 months. My back pain is thing of the past, my hips, shoulders and neck all move now. Amanda and Lauren have not only whipped my core into shape but they have helped me regain functional movement and my athleticism. On top of that, they are friendly and excellent coaches. Highly recommend for anyone looking to improve their overall wellness

I realized this week I have been training with Amanda for over five years!! I travel to Chicago several times a year and it’s a good trip when I get to spend an hour with Amanda. She can quickly assess where I am physically and mentally and tailors the session to meet my needs while still pushing me. I love the new studio! Whether you are just starting, which I was five years ago, or you train regularly I highly recommend Amanda and Platform Pilates.

I have been going to the Saturday Jump Class. Love it. It helps me start my day while building my cardio. Easy on the joints cause I have bad knees. Amanda is a fun and tough instructor.

I am a Pilates instructor, personnel training er, and massage therapist myself, so I’m pretty picky about who I work with. Amanda is one of the few instructors I would actually pay to work with. Not only do I get my money’s worth, but I have a great time. I’ve worked with Amanda for 6 years. Her knowledge goes beyond Pilates choreography and deep into an understanding of movement and human anatomy and physiology.
Working with Amanda has helped increase my athletic performance as a competitive triathlete, stay injury free in my rigorous weight lifting program, and build a lean physique..

I've found my new favorite workout class - I love Jump! I had never done pilates and was worried it would be difficult to get the hang of the machine, but the instructors at Platform Pilates were great and made me feel really comfortable as I learned in the Connect class. I tried Jump and it's got great energy and is fun! Lauren is a wonderful, patient teacher who really helped me make sure I had good form throughout and I love the studio - very clean and well maintained. This team will definitely be part of my regular workout rotation!

Amanda is an amazing instructor with tremendous amounts of patience and intense dedication to helping you perform your best, pushing you to places and positions you could never imagine yourself doing! I cannot recommend this studio highly enough- so happy Amanda has opened her own space. I have been taking Pilates with Amanda for almost 6 years, and her class is the only form of exercise I actually look forward to! Her style and professionalism make Pilates both fun & challenging. The space itself is gorgeous - with a ton of natural light, exposed brick and a welcoming atmosphere- with brand new equipment and great music- plus she keeps it sparkling clean. Super simple to sign up for classes, pay for passes, and parking is always available out front.

LOVE LOVE LOVE Platform Pilates. Went to Amanda after a knee injury and also wanted to get back into shape. I have been going twice a week and feel terrific! My injury is gone and can see my body has become more lean/tone. Amanda is patient, kind, knowledgeable and an incredible instructor. Thank you, Amanda!
