I rented an apartment from them a couple years ago. They tried to deny me of a service animal. They tried to claim things that were wrong with the unit was my fault (it was there when I moved in) they didn’t even do a move in walk through with me. Frankie rarely got back to me I always had to catch the apartment owner when he stopped by. Tried to over charge until we had to have a person contact them to dispute the claims. She charges for a professional cleaning service when it was literally her and one person cleaning the places

Literally the worst real estate company I've dealt with in my life. The owner, Austin Dach, is unprofessional and engages in illegal and criminal behavior. I rented a place from him and, after spending a long time trying to get him to fix severe water damage that was occurring, I finally went to the city's building inspector and found out that the unit was actually illegal and unsafe. After moving out, I actually had to sue to get deposit back. Beware at all costs--this company engages in some seriously shady and dangerous practices.

Frankie is the worst property manager I have ever had the displeasure of renting from. She is always quick to contact with a complaint but does NOTHING when things go wrong. She actively ignored 4 messages and a physical letter requesting a repair of my complex’s 2 washing machines, suggested I contact the owner, then refused to give me the owner’s contact info. Lou has been fine in the past, but apparently hiring his wife was a mistake. Avoid if possible!

Arcata has a lot of bad property management companies, but this one is by far the worst in my opinion. Renting from them added so much unnecessary stress to our lives. Things would often go unfixed for months, and during our last few months a pest problem I had noticed continued on until we had to move out, in which another set of unlucky people moved in to find the problem still wasn't treated properly. Terrible communication and lack of effort to be decent at the very least. Don't waste your time or money, there's better companies out there.

Housing is really hard up here so if you rent from these people watch out..... And if you are thinking of letting them "manage your property" they really don't do anything that you cant do in 5 minutes.

I moved up to Arcata from out of the area around a year ago and CLR was very helpful. I didn't know much about the area, but heard and saw how difficult it can be to find housing. In my experience, their services were straightforward, prompt and accommodating. I would recommend them to family and friends.

Efficient, accessible and friendly business; Ms. Pierce is great! She took the time to meet my dog, listen and answer my questions - no evasiveness. When one rental was held up, she helped me verify listings and vital information on rentals I found online. I live out of the area, thus, Ms. Pierce went out of her way to help - something she absolutely had no obligation to do! She's just a nice person. And a Pro!
