We have increased our sanitation procedures and are practicing social distancing, which means you may only bring one caregiver per patient. Our waiting room is fairly small, so you may be asked to wait in your car if it gets too crowded. We are requiring everyone to wear a mask even if you have been vaccinated.
We ask that the mask covers your nose, mouth and chin, NO EXCEPTIONS! Our office staff will still wear masks for your protection. If your are coughing, sneezing or unwell in any capacity, please reschedule your appointment for the safety and peace of mind of our patients and staff. Due to the stringent cleaning procedures between patients required by the CDC, wait times may be a little longer.

Services
Dr. Miller graduated from The Ohio State University College of Optometry (GO Buckeyes!) in 1987 and did a short residency at the VA Hospital in Chillicothe, OH before moving to Virginia Beach where he opened his own Optometric practice in 1990. Named one of America's Top Optometrists by the Consumer Research Council of America Dr. Miller works closely with the Virginia Beach Health Clinic.
Treatment of and follow up care for medically related eye pathology including, but not limited to, glaucoma & macular degeneration. Diagnosis of, and treatment for, eye diseases such as conjunctivitis, bacterial and viral infections. This versatile instrument help to catch glaucoma much earlier than previously.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our friendly and knowledgeable staff. Because of our continued compliance with the Governments'HIPPA regulations, there will be a few patient forms that will need to be completed (or, in the case of returning patients, updated), so we ask that you arrive 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
Patients often tell us that their last optometrist told them they could not wear contacts because their prescription was too strong, they had too much astigmatism, their corneas were shaped funny, or numerous other reasons. The truth is that, these days, anybody can wear contact lenses, no matter what the prescription is.
Here at Dr. Miller's office, we take glaucoma very seriously. Glaucoma is the number one leading cause of preventable blindness in the United States. Glaucoma is often called the silent thief of sight, as the damage it causes usually occurs before a person notices. By the time someone realizes they are losing their vision, it is often to late to treat it.

I highly recommend coming here! The staff is amazing! Dr.Miller is so nice and very good at his job! Dr.Miller makes you feel like a priority and they get you in and out quick but don’t rush you! I barely waited in the lobby too. His staff is so nice and patient. I very much appreciate the help I got from there optician Manager Matt Roe! I got my first pair of glasses at 15 somewhere else without a wide selection and definitely not a very helpful Optician so I never wore my glasses. However after the help I got from Matt I got the cutest glasses and now I never take them off! He also helped my

Normally no problems. However, today i was running late for my appointment for my daughter. Ended up getting there 15 minutes late because we ran into traffic coming from portsmouth. 11:45 for an 11:30 appointment. Get there and they tell me dr miller had already left for the day. Even though they don't even close till 12:30. Was pretty pissed. Never heard of a doctor just leaving because a patient was a little late.

I have been going to Dr. Miller for more than 20 years. Always a good experience and great advice. His Optician, Stacy, is also great. It took me numerous tries with different contacts to find ones that were comfortable and worked well. She was very patient, helpful and great customer service. I highly recommend!

Dr. Miller has been my eye Dr. for several years now. His entire staff has always been welcoming and professional. My vision has never been terrible but I found out that my Grandma has glaucoma so I feel that it's very important to stay on top of my annual visits. Eye health is critical. The first thing I always notice when I walk into Dr. Miller's office is that everyone greets me. Nothing bothers me more than to enter an establishment (regardless of the nature of business) and not be spoken to. They have a really cool optomap machine that shows the entire inside of each eye and Dr. Miller is

I have 3 daughters and I needed an eye doctor for all of us. I had heard that Dr. Miller ran a top notch office.... so I decided to try them out. In a word......WOW.
We had an absolutely amazing experience. Brianna and I had been in glasses and contacts for ever but my other 2 daughter had so far escaped the need for glasses.
When we arrived the check in process was smooth and easily accomplished and the priliminary testing completed by the optician was also smooth and efficient. It is usually a pain to repeat the same thing over and over again regarding our history..... I didn't have to do this

I took my teenagers to Dr. Miller and Staff for a routine eye exam. The service was outstanding. They saw Stacy first, then Dr. Miller. He showed them the map of their eye, which they thought was really cool and explained what everything was and that all was normal. He also found a congenital cataract on my daughters eye that no other doctor has bothered to mention to me. Dr. Miller and his Staff are extremely knowledgeable, highly professional and very courteous. I definitely recommend them and we will be going back.
