Originally established by Dr. Gene Pollard (now retired), Carefree Cats has focused on providing your cats with the best medical and surgical care available. We all have cats of our own and have always maintained that cats are very special energy beings and deserve special handling and care. Our ultimate concern is to make your cat's visit to our hospital as comfortable and stress-free as humanely possible.
Routine examinations are the mainstay of keeping your feline healthy and care free. Because cats are masters of hiding their illness, it's critical we see your babies AT LEAST yearly, if not every 3 to 6 months as they get older. This is especially true if your cat develops any of the common medical problems we see like diabetes, thyroid disease, gastrointestinal problems like vomiting and diarrhea, or kidney and bladder issues.
Our bark-free boarding area and large condos are designed to provide comfort and privacy in a calm and quiet facility. Whether you're away on vacation, having work done on your house, or are having to deal with a personal emergency, your cats will be more comfortable and less stressed staying in our temperature-controlled, well ventilated kitty hotel.

I have a senior cat who has recently had seemingly serious issues appear. They have been so good to my kitty. Dr. Hovanetz did surgery for her recently and I have had questions two days in a row and both the doctor and her staff have been so kind and caring when I have reached out. They do not get impatient or stop caring no matter the outlook of your cat’s condition. As long as we are in this area, we will always come here because the doctor is competent and caring and the staff from the front desk all the way to the vet techs in the back who are the greatest help, are the best with kitties

The people at Carefree Cats are friendly, patient, caring, educational and helpful. I felt like my cat and I were cared about, not just another number that walked in the door to pay them for service. I love the fun hair colors of some of the staff too. ❤

Our cat has been boarded at Carefree Cats three times this year, the last time for 9 days and we have had absolutely no complaints. The staff has been very caring, even putting his carrier in the "condo" with him in case it made him feel more secure---something we never even thought of! They noticed his food preferences and were very sweet about caring for him.

Carefree Cats took great care of my baby girl cat last weekend. I was initially really nervous about boarding her because she's on meds for seizures and she can be a difficult cat at the vet sometimes. They were able to give her meds with no issues!

I left my cat Max at Carefree Cats because
I was going out of town and he was on medication. Carefree did a wonderful job of taking care of Max in all ways. When I picked him up he had been beautifully brushed beteertthan I have ever been able to brush him. The people that take care of the cats are very caring. I would highly recommend this boarding facility!!

This was our first visit. Our cat and we were treated very well. We got in the day after we first called, and we were seen promptly. The vet tech and the doctor were very professional and compassionate. We were happy with the reasonable cost of the visit and medication. We will return.

I have two male tuxedo cats who have been going to Carefree Cats for 2 years now. We are so happy to have a vet that caters to cats! We have boarded with them, done our check ups, urine specimens & professional teeth cleaning. Prices are same of any other vet but with the added bonus of extensive cat knowledge in a stress free environment. My boys are treated like royalty 👑
