We purchased tamales and enchiladas and they were so good! The line was long, but well worth the wait. If you're going for the first time, take cash as that's all they accept.

Jacobo's is my tamale heaven! Their deli is the anchor of this grocery store. Everything in there is 5 stars. From time to time for lunch I'll go in there and grab some enchiladas, burritos, or chicken tacos. On the weekends in winter I like to grab a dozen tamales. I take those home for everyone to enjoy. The food is hearty and nothing but quality. Another staple to mention is their chips & salsa. This is an Omaha go to for it. Simply put... its AMAZING! The facility is kept up and very clean. Its well organized and the traffic flow is good. There are times when the lines for the deli are long

Has an awesome deli selection. 👌 I recommend everyone to try it. Really good chips and salsa. Place takes cash only, only down side.

I really like this store, however they only accept cash payments. Also they only have one cashier open, which creates a long wait. If you have a limited lunch time don’t go there because you won’t have time to eat before you get back to work.

I come here for the reason most reviewers seem to. The salsa. It's very good. I won't do back flips and say it is the greatest salsa I've ever eaten, but it is fresh and yummy and affordable. I live about as far away from here as you can and still be considered in the same metro area. So, while the salsa is good it's not worth a special trip (30 minutes there, 30 minutes in line, 30 minutes back). However, if I'm in the vicinity and I know it's one of their slower times of day, then heck yea, I'll get my Jacobo's salsa fix.

There are certainly some Mexican

This place is incredible. Their deli is second to none. If you haven't had the salsa made in-house then you're robbing yourself of so much joy. It's the best salsa around! Oh, and while you're at it, get one (or 6) of the burritos - you'll thank me later!

This place is a hidden treasure. They have some of the best authentic offerings in the hot case. Definitely worth the wait in line. Bring cash (no cards or checks), grab something delicious and head to the park.

Food as always was great. Prices are creeping up a bit. Went today and spent a half hour in line. Only one person working the deli counter when the place seemed fully staffed. Ran over my lunch hour time......

So I went to get salsa which is amazing, I was next in line and ordered Tamales and 2 things of salsa. The girl went to get the Tamales first then came back and told me they didn't have the salsa I wanted. However the guy behind me got 2 things of salsa! I guess I feel I was first and should have gotten the salsa since I waited longer for it then to have the person behind me get theirs. I will still always go back to get the salsa but the way they take orders needs to be revamped.

OMG the chips and salsa are as good as you'll find. I've gone twice within a few weeks and found the salsa heat to be variable, which I didn't mind since it's from scratch. Just make sure you plan to wait in line a bit

Fabulous, authentic, reasonably priced Mexican food. Get there early right when they open as there is a line and the sell out fast. We got beef enchiladas, tamales, beans, rice chips and salsa. All excellent!

Best chips and salsa I've ever had. Every-time I'm in town, I buy the medium red salsa, the green.very hot and the hot red which is my favorite. Great little grocery store with tamales, beans, rice etc. Always a line from the front door so bring your patience and cash only.

Man, could salsa get any fresher and/or better? I think not. That, and a bag of house made tortilla chips and you are good to go. Just north of 24th and L Street, this little grocery store is about as far away from a chain supermarket as you can get (both literally and figuratively!).

The salsa is made fresh in house. Don't be surprised if there's a line to get some. It's worth a special trip to purchase some for a party or other significant event. I heard the tamales are excellent as well. They are on my list but haven't tried them yet.

Also, this place only accepts cash

Best Mexican you can get in Nebraska... my dad is a linguist (Spanish) so that helps with the language barrier.

the tamales are very good!! I always look forward to eating them when my dad brings them home to eat.

Amazing Mexican grocery store down on 24th with an incredible hot counter!

24th st has quickly become my fav area of Omaha, with so many great stores and restaurants. Jacobo's is no exception!

Jacobo's is a small grocery store that has every type of Mexican grocery product you can find, and of course the amazing hot counter with delicious prepared Mexican food. The prices are so low and fair-we got a dozen pork tamales, 4 enchiladas, a large rice, large beans, and red cilantro salsa and fresh chips for under $40! And this fed 5 adults with leftovers. So good. The line was all the way

My favorite Mexican grocery in town. Very good selection of authentic prepared foods in the back of the store. Tamales, frijoles and rice, salsas and roasted pork.

They also have fresh baked goods too. And fresh corn tortillas.

Fruits and veggies are well-stocked.

Make sure you bring cash. They do have an ATM, but at the register, you'll need cash.

Yum! We checked out their eatery in the back - Jacobo's is a grocery store, and they're famously known for their Salsa with Cilantro as well as their handmade Mexican specialties. We got a bag of tortilla chips and a tub of their salsa, a corn tamale, a burrito, as well as a little bit of the savory tender pork. The salsa was fresh and had chunks of tomatoes and pieces of cilantro throughout. The tamale was wonderful, as it contained pulled pork and the corn itself was seasoned perfectly - it was very tasty! The burrito itself was good, too, filled with meat, beans, and cheese, all
