The Choice, however, has evolved from placing receptionists and administrative assistants in the 1980's and 1990's to assisting our DC area clients with staffing their membership teams, fundraising and development personnel as well as event and communications specialists. Because many of our clients have used The Choice as their primary staffing vendor for so many years, we know and understand their organizations' staffing needs.
Non-Profit/Association staffing is our specialty. Although we staff private-sector and government clients, The Choice is renowned for staffing the most prestigious non-profits and associations in the DC/Metro Area. We actively seek candidates with flexible and immediate availability for temporary staffing needs.
The Choice Inc was founded in 1983 with the simple mission, to be a different type of staffing service. Many decades later, the core mission remains the same. We take the time to learn about our candidates unique set of professional skills and goals. Kate reached out to me over Indeed and I initially interviewed for another position, but when I found my current job listed on their job board I reached out to Maggie and Allison about applying for that one instead. In my personal experience, the recruiter I was working with was not forthcoming about an opportunity. When I wasn't available when she wanted me to be for a Zoom interview, she was suddenly unresponsive and passed the assignment to someone else (which is perfectly fine), but was not forthcoming about that at all and instead said that the company no longer needed help with the project. The dishonesty speaks to a lack of professionalism and integrity, and the recruiter Maggie simply could have said that the company needed someone sooner.

I worked with the choice for the past year. I submitted my resume and cover letter for a job posting and received an interview request shortly after. During the interview process, they assisted with reviewing my resume and preparing me for the interview. I have been using the Choice to send temps to our office for many years. Not only do they send great temps, I have hired more than a couple of dozen of the temps to stay as permanent employees. Cheryl and her team know the type of person that is going to work out at our organization and if we have a permanent job, they have a high likelihood of getting the job.

I had an excellent experience working for The Choice Staffing Agency. The team is extremely responsive and genuinely care about the employees. Once I applied, I heard back that day and scheduled an in person interview. I moved to DC in July without a job and without any connection or networks. I was taking a year off between undergraduate and graduate school and was in search of a fulfilling temp/contract position. I happened to find The Choice through a job posting online and from then on the process was a cake walk.
