I recently went to this dental office for the first time. I loved my experience here. I received a cleaning at my first visit where I also got images taken of all my teeth. Everyone in this office is very friendly. I felt very safe and comfortable in their office. I was explained everything they were doing and understood all that my teeth needed to remain healthy. After this visit I returned for fillings and this visit was very quick. Found this dental office last October after seeking to get Invisalign. Dr. Hernandez does not disappoint. Not to mention how incredibly friendly and professional the staff are. I always Get seen promptly, my Invisalign treatment went quickly, and my cleanings are always enjoyable. Will definitely be recommending this office to my family and friends. It’s a small business with only a few employees, but i personally Feel more connected to the individuals who work there because of this

I found Pacific Beach Smile Studio when searching for a place to start Invisalign. Dr. Hernandez and his staff made the whole experience pleasant and easy. Check-ins were usually quick and straight forward but if I had concerns about the way my bite/teeth were adjusting they took the time to work towards a solution with me. 10/10 would recommend.

I recently moved to San Diego from Connecticut and was looking for a great dental place to get my teeth whitened. I stumbled upon PB smile studio and had an amazing session! The staff and doctors were super sweet and made sure I felt comfortable the entire time. I usually don't like going to the dentist (sensitive teeth to touch); however, my time at PB Smile was smooth and painless! They even had a TV in the room to keep you distracted :)

I have literally had the worst experience with dentist in PB. I was very hesitant to find a new one but I am happy I did. Special shout out to Betty at the front desk she is amazing and the best communicator which to me is very important. I feel Dr. Hernandez was honest and did a great job explaining everything so that I could understand. Thank you too everyone who helped me and made me feel comfortable. Grateful to have a new dentist close to home.

The location and building are very clean and comfortable. The staff is very courteous, personable and knowledgeable. The Dentist, Dr. Hernandez is very professional, easy to engage with and the gentleman knows his business. The patient is treated with courtesy and respect. In all honesty, it was an emergency extraction which I haven't had since the 60's. To be honest and blunt, the total cost left me weak kneed. After my shock wears off, I plan to see the Dr. again.

I love "Dr. Ric". Actually, he is a family friend, and I've even been to his wedding many years ago. A wonderful friend is one thing that he is...but he is a great dentist too. Upon meeting for the first time or maybe just catching up on your friendship you already have, he's GENTLE, caring, smiling, and FRIENDLY. Once he begins his work in your mouth, he is serious, FOCUSSED and gets the job done PAINLESSLY, and as QUICK as possible. Dr Hernandez is the most compassionate and skillful dentist I've worked with. His gentle, calming presence truly helped me when I was really afraid of dental work, after a bad incident last year with another dentist in Pacific Beach.

Dr. Hernandez and his staff are amazing! Betty, the receptionist, is always friendly when you come in. They offer a bottle of water every visit. And Theresa and Dr. Hernandez are great when operating. I had to get a new crown, which looks beautiful and they did it extremely well! Best experience I've had at a dentist in my life!! I've been to quite a few dentists all over California and Utah. I've had over 15 fillings, Invisilign, deep cleanings and damage from a tongue ring I've had in the past. PB Smiles Studio kept my appointment to the exact time, no lag which was great! The X-rays were quick and painless, the doctor was thorough and educational, made sure I understood everything he was talking about they checked insurances and let me know out of pocket costs and severity of what services I need first. Dr. Hernandez and his staff are excellent. I have been going there for about five years and am always happy with my cleanings and any work that needs to be done. They are always on time and professional. I am someone who is extremely nervous going to the dentist and they always listen to my concerns, are very patient and help me through the whole process. I can't say enough nice things... even got my Invisalign through them as well! If you want a knowledgeable, gentle and awesome dentist, this is it!

A wise dentist once told me, once dental work, always dental work. Preventative fillings just ensures you will need to have them redone in a few years and next thing you know, your needing a crown or even worse, he over drills and a toothache starts and now a root canal. This is what has happened to a friend on mine.

I am a relatively new client, but I have been happy with this dentistry so far. I have had a few procedures requiring anesthetic and the hygienists made me feel comfortable and the procedure painless. They are upfront about the costs of everything (and ask before doing anything that costs extra). I also like that they have tv screens and headphones for you to watch Netfix with while having anything done. Dr. Hernandez is very knowledgeable and addresses any concerns I have. He is very kind and easy to talk to. I have always been bad at flossing and with their help I have had better oral health

Out of the many dentists I have experienced, Dr. Hernandez is my favorite. He genuinely cares about the health of my teeth, and is very fair regarding his dental plans. I am usually very sensitive when it comes to cleanings since my gums have always had minor issues; but with Dr. Hernandez I feel well taken care of.

UPDATE: I went to get my cavities filled, and Dr. Hernandez was insanely fast! He did two fillings in 15 minutes, then as I was leaving Betty told me about the preventative fillings (which my insurance only covers half of). Dr. Hernandez's office will match your insurance, so I walked out with preventative fillings with zero out of pocket! Truly amazing. Wish I could give them 6 stars!
Dr. Hernandez is fantastic! He got me in and out of my cleaning and exam in less than an hour! I will definitely be seeing him twice every year for years to come!

Dr. Hernandez takes care of my 97 year old mother and previously my girlfriend. Both were no insurance type cases and we opted for his annual package that includes exam X-rays and two quality cleanings. Waits are short, the explanations are thorough and I see all the other patients who love this office as well.
We couldn't be happier with his professionalism and empathy. We also get great value for our money invested.
