Buying a home can be stressful. You're making a large investment and want to make sure you're not buying something that is going to have lots of unknown problems. Our goal with Austin Home Check is to provide you with a thorough inspection of the different components of your home so that you can make a more informed decision.
If you're buying a home, it is smart to get it inspected during the option period. Not doing so could cost you thousands of dollars in unforeseen issues down the road. If something turns up you may be able to negotiate concessions. Or if it's something larger, you're able to get out of buying the home fairly inexpensively.
Home Inspection costs vary, but could be anywhere in the $300-$600 range for most homes. Pricing also depends on if you're getting just a home inspection or other things such as a termite or pool inspection etc. Like the cost, the length of time it takes to complete a home inspection also varies. Larger homes and very old homes take longer because there is more to inspect.

Very professional, responsive and accommodating of last minute scheduling changes. John Masterson was very knowledgeable and took time out during the inspection to walkthrough the findings and answer any questions. The report was well compiled and sent out in 6 hours. Would highly recommend!

John from Austin Home Check did an amazing job during my home inspection. He was training a newer employee and they went through every inch of the house taking detailed notes of anything that stood out. When the inspection was complete, John walked me through the house and went through the list and broke it down from small minor items (that I could easily fix myself), to bigger items that would need attention sooner than later. The final report was user friendly and I after knocking out the more time sensitive items, I'm using the list as a checklist for projects around the house. I would highly

This is one of the most detailed inspectors I've ever worked with! They do zip level foundation and sprinkler inspections as well as a very thorough house inspection. John also explained things well and offered estimates for deficiencies. I will recommend this inspector again in my real estate transactions! Plus I have used John with Austin Home Check not only as a realtor representing a client, but also personally when purchasing a home for myself!

Could not be happier with John's service. The thoroughness of his inspection gave us peace of mind.
John walked us through all the major issues he found in the inspection (thankfully, the list was pretty short). He was very quick to respond when we had questions later on, and explained everything patiently.
Given other home inspection reports I've read through which are scribbled down, pages long and hard to understand quickly, John's online reporting tool (with PDF option) was super easy to understand and review. John included pictures, videos, and even infrared temperature visuals
