Hard water affects more than 85% of U.S. households. It can shorten the lifespan of water-using appliances and leave unsightly scale buildup on faucets and fixtures. Unsightly, rust colored stains on sinks, tubs, or toilets are an indicator of too much iron, magnesium, or iron bacteria in your water.
Rusty-orange or black staining on sinks, bathtubs, toilet bowls, laundry, and plumbing fixtures are an indication that your water contains excessive iron or manganese. Drinking water may even have a yellow or orange tinge and taste metallic. Excess iron or manganese in your water is generally a nuisance but should produce no adverse health effects.
The three most common smells and tastes include earthy, "rotten egg", and metallic. An earthy taste or smell may be caused by algae. The "rotten egg" smell is typically caused by hydrogen sulfide, and while it is not harmful to ingest, it can certainly make your water unappealing to drink. Metallic tastes are usually caused by the presence of iron, copper, manganese, and zinc in the water supply.
Blue-green stains on clothes, fixtures, sinks, tubs, water-using appliances, and toilets are an indication that you may have low pH water, or acidic water. This blue-green color is caused by acid-corroded copper in your pipes, which also makes your water unsuitable for drinking. Problems with pH may be caused by acid rainfall, naturally low pH water, poor plumbing practices, improper electrical grounding, and more.
Chlorine is present in the water in most of our homes today. Municipalities have used chlorine to disinfect the water supply since the 1850's and still do so today. Many microbiological contaminants can only be removed with the use of chlorine. However, the taste and smell of chlorine are unappealing and can also dry out your skin and hair.

Excellent service! Installed water softener and RO system in my new home. Appx 12 month later they texted me and asked if I was interested in having my RO filters changed and the system sanitized as well as water softener inspection. Very convenient and they were able to text me the cost as well. I set up the appt and their tech was right on time for the date of the service. Arthur was outstanding! He explained to me all aspects of the RO system, and how I can use the RO water direct to the fridge and avoid $100 of fridge water filters each year. He went on to point out aspects of the softener

I would like to recognize Jesse for his 21+yrs as an invaluable resource to Home owners looking to learn how to maintain and repair their own water softener systems. Jesse helped me with my 2 yr old KS64 was not pulling in sodium from my brine tank. I received replacement parts for my brine & gear motor. After receiving quotes of 450 to 1200 from different local vendors, It motivated me to try the replacement install myself. My system is now working after some additional setting change recommendations. Hope when Jesse retires, there are at least two more in the company who can continue to provide

I have nothing but praise for AmeriFlow Water Systems here in the SE Valley. We have had their RO system under our kitchen sink for 2+ years and we remain very pleased with the entire RO process. Most importantly, Artur, the skilled tech that installed the system and has returned annually to replace filters, is pretty much the gold standard of service techs that we've dealt with here. Arrives on time, extremely diligent, gives clear and concise instructions; the consummate professional. Service reliability at its finest. Office staff is very pleasant to work with, including Lori and ca

I purchased a ET42H water softener from Spencer's, who contracted Ameriflow Water Systems to install the unit. Once they showed up to install the unit, the technician informed me that the system he had just installed was defective. The only solution was to wait 3 days for a new valve to replace the defective one.

Three days later another technician showed up to replace the valve. I was in the garage as he installed the new valve and watched him. I don't know much about the programming, but he didn't appear to program the system. It has been nearly 3 weeks since it was installed

We purchased a small 2-4 person Water Softener from Lowes and they contracted AmeriFlow Water Systems for the installation. They were professional from the initial site inspection for the install, through the actual installation which occured a couple of weeks later. We just had our system installed today 10/21/2021 and we were totally satisfied with the installation by the tech named Abel(Installer #26). He was expedient, professional and provided us a quick and understandable explanation of our new softener installation and covered all bases so, we had a good knowledge base of the system&apos

I've had our Ameriflow system about a year. It's the second system I've had from Ameriflow. We have a large softener system, a whole house filter and an under sink RO .

I recently contacted them to understand how to remove the resin units as our garage floor is being epoxied. Their helpful service manager called me back within 15 mins, looked up our system and walked me through step by step on how to disconnect the system safely.

I feel like many companies won't empower their customers to do things like this so they can make an extra dime. Ameriflow are not. Super helpful

Ameriflow installed my solar water system a number of years back, and has been providing annual services and repairs. I would like to specifically complement the service tech Daniel Tech 30 for going the extra mile to troubleshoot and repair my system. Daniel was very courteous and knowledgeable. Returned to my house a second time to make sure everything was correct. A+

We had an Ameriflow reverse osmosis system and water softener installed in our new home a year ago. We were in need of an annual RO and water softener service. The technician that stopped by for our service was Cristian tech #35. He was awesome! We learned a lot from him, many things we did not know. He explained what we should do after he replaces the RO filters. He also checked to make sure our water softener was working properly. He was very respectful, professional and thorough. We highly recommend Ameriflow Water Systems. Cristian is truly an asset to Ameriflow Water Systems!

We had a scheduled appointment with Lowe's water softener installer. The contractor called us last week and scheduled out appointment for Tuesday between 7-11am. The installer arrived before 9am. I happened to be outside when the truck was unmarked arrived. The installer, Josh, had a Lowe's t shirt on like the other contractor from Lowe's. Josh was masked and timely. He was thorough and explained what he was doing along with a host of questions we had. The installation was included with the purchase of the water softener. Good deal! He was at the house maybe an hour and

With our homes "pre plumb" for soft water, it was only about $1000 to get a 50,000 grain system installed. Artur has serviced our last home and he does such a great and professional job. Ameriflow is a great company with no games or gimmicks. Would recommend to anyone.

Our Ameriflow Reverse Osmosis system was installed in 2005 and, 14 years later, it died. We mourned our loss for a couple of days and pretended that our unfiltered tap water tasted good. That effort failed leaving us with parched mouths and the feeling we were living in a desert. So I picked up the phone and called Ameriflow. The customer service rep was courteous and we talked through options. The typical life of a system is about 7 years she explained. We agreed that I could either replace the filters (which is supposed to be done annually) or we could replace the system. Given that I had
