A healthy, confident smile requires professional care and daily maintenance. Even if you have great oral hygiene, you should visit the dentist for checkups and cleanings. In early stages, dental conditions like tooth decay, gum disease, and oral cancer are often invisible to the naked eye. As a general dentist, Dr. Tang is trained to detect these and other dental problems before they do serious damage to your oral and overall health.
For many patients, decay can be caused by small pieces of food and bacteria building up in grooves and pits in the teeth. For children especially, this decay affects the hard to reach areas, like molars. Improper brushing often contributes to this type of decay. Dental sealants are ideal in instances like this by providing protection for the premolar and molar surfaces from decay.
It is advised by the American Dental Association that you visit your dentist every 6 months for a regular checkup. During your checkups, our team of dental professionals will check the soft tissues of the mouth for oral cancer, signs or symptoms of periodontal disease and other oral health issues. We will also examine every tooth for damage or signs of decay and also check any old dental treatments.

I didn’t go back to the dentist for 9 years. After a referral from my girlfriend to Dr. Tang, I’ve never been happier. The Dr. has an incredible staff. It’s a very personal and attention to detail based practice. The Dr. is incredibly pleasant to deal with, diligent and competent. But above all else, incredibly funny and light handed. Dr Tang is office is different than any other dentist I have ever been to. First of all there is no office waiting. When he schedules you, you are his only patient. Second he takes the time to get to know all his customers, I am amazed at how he recognizes all his patients. Third this man is detail oriented and takes the time to explain to you what the options are and what he is doing. His staff is amazing and super friendly. By far the best office I have ever been to. The doctor and staff are super nice , very professional and knowledgeable. I have gone to offices where the staff isn’t welcoming and going to the dentist nervous doesn’t help. They made me feel so welcome the minute I walked in . Dr. Tang is amazing! He makes the experience of going to the dentist very enjoyable! The office staff is outstanding too! It is clear they always put their patients first! Also, Dr. Tang is great with kids too! One time my son chipped his tooth and Dr. Tang came to our house since it was on a weekend just to check on our son. My friend needed a dental check up emergency since her tooth was in major pain. Dr. Tang fit her in the same day, gave her a complimentary check up and rec for an oral surgeon. When I arrived to Dr. Tang's, I had left a dentist who couldn't figure out why my tooth hurt after a filling. I had the same filling replaced twice by a previous dentist because of the inexplicable tooth pain. Dr. Tang's method of filling a tooth involves covering all the teeth except for the one being filled, which keeps out the contaminating bacteria causing my pain. This truly was the solution to the problem. There's something else I like about this dentist: His big technology. He can show me a photograph of my tooth that's the size of my head. I've been going to Dr Tang for years. I really love the service and it's especially nice that he only sees one patient at a time and is totally focused on you. I've been to other dentists where they go back and forth between patients and that can be a real drag. The girls in the office, Monica and Liz are great too, very friendly and helpful.
