If you have your service done here, you will quickly see why these people have a perfect five star rating. They did a fantastic job, made no attempts to upsell me on unnecessary stuff, and did the work in breakneck speed. Highly recommend and I'm very glad I found them.
If I had to gripe about anything, I was really hoping they'd vacuumed my baby for me but they ARE mechanics and not detailers, so I digress 😂

I had just bought a used BMW from a scumbag in Roseville and every looked and ran exceptionally well. Well little did I know this shop hid all things wrong with this car and me not knowing a damn thing about cars, didn't notice. After 4 days the thing was leaking oil and coolant like a broken faucet. After a week long depression and many looks in the mirror letting myself know how dumb I am. I stumbled across Vlad at German Autowerks

I had been in an accident and requested his opinion about the mechanical safety of my vehicle.
He took some time to evaluate and inspect the damage.
He was through and didn't charge me a penny.
Months later I was looking to have the 80k service done. He was my first choice and I was not disappointed.
His attention to detail and extensive familiarity with my vehicle made me very confident. His concern for my wallet
sealed the deal.
I drive 500 miles to entrust my VW in his care.

I am new to the area and I have a Mini Cooper Clubman. Love my car! I needed some work done by a place that can run a diagnostic on a European vehicle. German Auto Werks had the diagnostic. They were incredibly helpful. They gave me lots of great info like what the best gas is and what the best oil is for my vehicle! They serviced my vehicle for a very reasonable price and got my vehicle done very quickly! They were awesome and I will definitely be back!

Do not take your cars here. I hate to make a bad review on a local business but my experience was unsatisfactory, to say the least. First off, this shop had my car for 3 over weeks. I brought it in for a check engine light and a drivetrain warning that would come on when accelerating over 2K RPM. After barely hearing from the shop, what seemed like me constantly calling them to get some kind of feedback, a rep calls me and says my car is now done.
When picking up the car they explain, the warning light is still coming on but I need to drive the car to "reset the computer". After charging

This place saved my life, when my Boxter just up and quit on me in Placerville en route to the Tahoe area. The owner/manager was extremely helpful in making sure that my car arrived via a tow company I had accessed via AAA. He also got me out of there in time to pick up a rental car at a nearby Enterprise location.
Because it was around close of business and approaching the wekend, I drove on to Tahoe. In a few days (as promised), they called and I returned. My car had a faulty fuel pump and it was replaced and my car was ready to roll. It turns out I was very fortunate that my breakdown

I've brought my VW here several times. Drew has always come in at or under his reasonable estimates. I've never been needlessly up sold for repairs that could wait. The labor rate here is extremely fair for any repair shop, let alone specializing in german cars. I'm glad we have this place in Placerville, some drive for hours to find a shop only 1/2 as good!

Excellent shop. Very knowledgeable. I picked up my 1985 Volkswagen Vanagon from Tahoe after getting "repaired" and it lost all coolant before I could get home. Luckily, it was near German Auto Werks, and we had it towed there. The folks at Autozone recommend them. They diagnosed my problem honestly and quickly, found other issues along the way and repaired them while completing the original repair. Labor was very reasonable and the van runs better than it has before. Cheers to Drew and the crew over there. I wish I would have brought it here to begin with.

Well I give two thumbs up on this place. Got two guesstimates on my BMW for some kind of oil leak and got high estimates and really not knowing what it could be. So driving around with leaking oil for awhile until I saw this place after shopping at Safeway.Went in talked to guy behind desk (owner) and he came out and he actually checked out my problem put it on a lift, and seemed to guess the problem and blah, blah, blah.
